Quote from Yze's twitter Pretty sure it's his account.

'Tanking creates a losing culture!! The people behind that decision are the ones that should be sacked!!!'

Yep that's him.

Won't be the first we hear about this.

It will only take one insider to spill the beans and watch the turkey shoot that ensues.

Can't believe Adam Yze, who I loved to watch, is kicking us while we're down. Apalling and bitter. Decisions were made for a reason. If I recall, I don't believe he played under bailey, so he would have no clue.

There's a good team in there somewhere, who just needs standards put in place and non-negiotables by a good coaching group.

Bailey was good for the kids and they liked him, but it's time to get very serious now with the next appointment.

How the hell is the MFC going to move forward, if after every decision made by the club. X players and X MFC people, lay the boots in for their own selfish reasons. Come back and help the club YOU [censored]!!!!

Yes its disappointing, but its the culture this club breeds. Ego driven and imploding has been a part of the culture for 50 years. Yze was a big culprit of setitng the softness, down hill skiing mentality during the Daniher era.

Such an apt name for certain people to get their two cents worth in.

"TWITter"

Disappointing that a past player would take this time to make that comment.

Agreed. His timing is deplorable. It'd be nice if past players offered up their support, but if they can't or won't do that, have the decency to keep their flaps closed.

Bitterness has no place within the walls of the New Demons, it's a poisonous & venomous emotion. see ya.

That's a fair call Nasher and at this low ebb there's little point in adding to the farcical state of panic but when things settle down a little I think the long term impacts of tanking on our club's culture need to be addressed. We can't compare ourselves to Carlton or other clubs - we took it to new levels. I asked the question some time ago and was ridiculed.

Reprehensible.

They left with a sour taste in the mouth did they?

I had a sour taste in the mouth watching them play.

They can say what they like, but that doesn't mean I cannot judge them on it.

Pathetic.

What a bunch of rubbish - how did we take it to new levels? What we did in 2009 was not worse than what Carlton did in 2007. We did what we had to do in the best interests of the club. For a change we were ruthless and refused to just go along to get along. Anyone who brings this up now or questions it is only to the detriment of the club. It was done, it's what had to be done, now leave it in the past where it belongs.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
