Trengove + Tapscott

Recommended Posts

Guns, both of them.

Trengove is the next Bartel and Tapscott is like a beefed up Hodge.

Great Stuff, Trengove was outstanding in close today, he definately helped Beamer enormously at the centre bounces.

Tapscott reminds me of a young Glen Jackovich. Fingers crossed on that one.

Tom Scully will love playing with these boys.

Crappiest Photoshop job ever, but still, gets my point across.

HaHaHa, fantastic Jaded, but one thing, he has to have a shirt & tie or he won't fet into the MCC?

Can you photoshop him into some Melbourne clobber? Maybe our Jumper and shorts?

Absolutely brilliant stuff from these two. The Tap could potentially become one of the biggest bargains in a draft in a long time. Just cant say a bad word about the kid hes terrific and i could definitely see him playing a Paul Chapman type forward role.

As for those who keep saying we should have picked Martin over Trenners etc i have a simple message for you GET FU>>ED. Trenners is a much better player than Martin and will be in the long run. He absolutely ooozes class. Also cant underestimate the decision to draft them together as mates. I have no doubt that its helped them both settle in and that Tappy would have got a lot of confidence from seeing his best mate perform well at AFL level last year.

I don't know about that but what I do know is that JT seems to be much more consistent than DM at this very early stage of their careers. Martin's 'highlights' have been great and I like watching that kid play but I love Trengove and he is becoming a reliable 20 - 25 touch player and a good amount of them are so good to watch. Much of his best work can be missed as opposed to Martin's highlights because he is so deft.

A great thing about both of these two is their aggression at the player as well as the ball. For example, Tapscott's bump(s) even when the ball is out, and the tackle JT put on Dangerfield that sent him off...

Bringing some well needed steel to our team.

love it.

Hard at it, loveable larrikans, down to earth

These are blokes who help set a strong culture

If you have met Scully n Trengove, you will realise Trenners will be the captain n leader out of the two

Here in Adelaide, everyone was talking about Tappy and Trenners leading up to the game... And probably more so today. I don't know if channel 7 mentioned it but Tappys 60 metre Goal against Adelaide was his first for the Club apparently... Congrats Tappy!! And i think he is so talented that he will be the bench mark in the years to come... not comparing him: 'looks like Hodgy, Chappy' or anyone else... He's ggod enough to make his own mark. And Trengove just wants the pill, for a bloke in just his 2nd year of AFL to demand so much of it, he most certainly will get better and better and be an elite player in our competition let alone just our team.

Since the first few games last year I have believed that Trengove is a better kick than Scully.

It is one thing to get the ball but another to deliver it well.

he seldom misses the target I have a gut feel we are looking at a future B & F winner.

Jaded is a skilled clothing designer. She did a good job with this Tapscott/Hulk image. I had a play with words asking her to photoshop the image into Melbourne gear. + A teaser also for mCC'ers.

Come in WYL...

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
