It was supposedly reported on the radio about 3 days ago (?) that Scully would be out for 10 weeks, but I have not seen anything about this anywhere else at all since. I thought maybe they had got him confused with Staker who was given an estimated out time of 3 months (12 weeks).

Yes, it must be that...

When good things happen we are lucky, and when bad things happen we are mismanaging...

When was the last time we were "Lucky" ?

Some early draft picks from last year are struggling. Morabito is out for the season for Fremantle and now this with Scully. Glad Trengove is fit, and Martin for the Tigers. Hope this isn't true, but it's not looking good. The more he misses, the less likely GWS will chase him in my opinion.

The is highly libellous. Do you have any evidence to back up that our medicial staff are basically incompetent? This is what you are saying.

Did Scully even have off season knee surgery after the 2010 season? Maybe after 2009 yes, but not sure about 2010.

In any case, if our medical staff were no good they would be replaced.

Facts are , if we wanna progress from pretenters to contenders and compete against the Collingwood and Hawthorns of the league , we've gotta find the dosh to pump into the Medical Dept.

It's a hard balancing act because you want to be fit and strong but you don't want overuse injuries or preventable injuries cause during training.

Facts?

As opposed to conjecture?

Christ this is hard to take.

Out injury record for new recruits is appalling. Are we the worst in the league ?

It feels like every high draft pick bar Trengove has had major injuries since they arrived. many in their first year. It is a long list.

Taken one out, there will always been an explanation, but it it a disturbing trend, especially when it is in the crucial development phase of these players.

It probably shows how we are careful in not playing the kids whilst injured so that we can prolong their careers, rather than shortening them in a blind attempt to win a few more games now.

It is also probably demonstrative of the gap in talent in the mid-age bracket at our club - in other teams, kids being injured and not being able to play might be more easily missed, as they aren't desperate to push the kids into the senior side as soon as possible.

Someone like Sam Reid at Sydney has had injury, but we don't hear about it because last year Bradshaw, Goodes and White were able to carry the load in attack and the team still performed well enough to make finals.

Perception isn't always reality.

You've made some poor posts, but this shows you really have no clue and are happy to wildly speculate.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
