More and more Fev trouble

He has been acting the same way since even before he was drafted, you can't blame everything on medication & personal issues. No one is trying to chop him down, he's doing a perfect job of that on his own.

Your right he has, he's a rebel, just like Dermie was.

But he has not made a habit of running around being physical at people. That Brownlow Casino thing was out of character for him. Not his normal way.

There's a couple of policeman, a barman in Ireland, a security guard at Melb Uni and Bris Lions footballer who all say hi. These are the publicly known incidents. There are others which have not made the public domain and I am not going to mention here.

Even his actual mother would not make statements like that. Young Brendan been more than just a naughty boy.

Then he should go through the channels others with similar problems are restricted to. Casey and MFC are not institutions for people with addiction, they are footy clubs and should stick to their knitting.

Agree and stating the obvious.

As much as i don't want him at Casey, if he embraced the club and the people in it rather than seeing it as a means to an end than i actually think it could be a fantastic support network. But as said previously i don't think he has hit rock bottom yet, which is a serious concern. FWIW i too have actually heard glowing reports about Fev prior to the Brownlow debacle.

Like "I'm not training, I'm 15+ kilos overweight, and I only got three touches in the twos - play me in the ones or I'm pissing off" kind of embracing the club?

Absolutely...if he wanted to embrace the Scorps he would be down at the club at 7.30 AM doing weights and running. If he was doing that i would embrace him as well-But it is not going to happen.

Fev has not even reached "The Dark Room" yet. At this point he still rules his own world.

Seems to me that he can't hack it at Casey so now he's off to Narre Warren.

Fast running out of options as far as I'm concerned.

Quote:

"But the Scorpions have not given up hope of getting Fevola back to the VFL and helping revive his shattered career."

Just who is the knucklehead at Casey driving this thing?

Fev is starting to remind me more and more of Paul Gascoigne the English soccer player. He had the world at his feet playing in the top leagues of Europe but couldn't keep his hand off the grog and finished his career after many unsavoury episodes including wife bashing, drunkeness and general public disorder playing in far flung parts of China. In the end he became a train wreck of a fellow who never seemed to acknowledge his weaknesses. These blokes don't have the intestinal fortitute to battle through their weaknesses and it is exascerbated by it all being played out in public.

Spot on, I have been a supporter of giving him another chance.

However he clearly does not want to do the hard yards.

The wonder to me is why Casey keep on with the whole sorry episode.

CASEY IT IS TIME TO CUT HIM YOU ARE BEGINNING TO LOOK MORE STUPID THAN FEV!

Obviously Gotchy has said - I won't play you until you are fit.

If Fev is serious about playing AFL football again - he will play at the Scorps in 5 weeks time and he will be fit.

If he isn't - which I don't think he is - he will play with his mates for a couple weeks and sign for Frankston and take the option of least hard work and application.

My brother's a fair chance to play on him at some point this Saturday, should be a descent turn out down @ Narre to.

Cant see us losing this one regardless of Fevs input...very well drilled unit our boys are.

Narre Warren V Noble Park - Saturday @ 2pm

Kalora Park, Fox Road, Narre Warren North.

You make comment on Fevola like you actually know the bloke. Are you aware of the sexual assault that was reported whilst he was drunk at crown, in the incident which lead to his sacking at Carlton? That is just one of many incidents. Your defense of his behavior is pretty ill informed if you ask me. He's had plenty of chances to take responsibility for his actions, however continues to hurt people around him that care for him. Don't really like to judge people but he seems like an A grade Charlie to me.

With apologies to Tom Jones and the songwriters of Delilah but not to Fev

He was a tight as a kite on the night of the Brownlow

He placed a slobbering kiss on Juddies face

He played for Carlscum

But the next week he was kicked right out of that place

Chor.

My My My Fevola , Why Why Why Fevola

We could see he had the heart of a pea

But Vossy thought he would play Ok at the Lions

Then there’s the day when had an affray with a barman

Trying to strangle the bloke in old Dublin town

He thought it funny,

But we all knew he was nothing more than a clown

Chor.

My My My Fevola , Why Why Why Fevola

Sometimes he cleans, up on the poker machines

But most of the time he just loses it all on the wheels

For a short while he had reason to smile with Ms Bingle

Till he discovered just what a camera is for,

He sent out nude pictures

And when she found out then he smiled no more

He's delivering himself to the bottom of the barrell. That may be good for him to get it over with quickly.

Then he can start the hillclimb sooner. Just further to travel back up hill.

He's been playing footy for a number of years now. The environment of a footy club does not seem to be what he needs. Seems to have led him on a downward path. He should get out of footy, and the footy club environment, for at least a year.

According to ABC radio the "teddy bear" has been sent off in the Narre Warren match for fighting.

"According to ABC radio the "teddy bear" has been sent off in the Narre Warren match for fighting".

He's still fighting it. Not surrendered yet. He's on the run. From his inner fears. There is no escape, from the inner.

The 'footy field', thats footy.

Lets wait and see when he bottoms out. IMO, within 8 weeks.

Then, we'll see the surrender. And after the surrender comes the sunshine, and the hard work. Think of the army, how it breaks down the tough spirits, to instill it's own disciplines. Rightly or wrongly.

If a person has poor attitudes, its difficult to shift, until their ready & willing to acept. After their penny has dropped.

Some never do surrender and the penny never drops.

But thanks for all the bush psychiatry anyway.

Now that he's had a taste for the game it's time for Fev to start getting serious about his footy and do what every footballer should do in a situation when his football career is on the line and he wants to continue playing at the highest level. Work his butt off at training and accept the authority of his football coach. Keep his nose out of trouble and let his football do the talking. If he's not prepared to do that, he can stay at Narre Warren and play with the boys.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
