Haven't seen him play much but he is having some sort of game tonight!

Not Melbourne and no chance of playing for Melbourne so that equals zero interest.

That's a shame. I'm a Melbourne fan through and through but I still find enjoyment in watching talented players. He certainly is that!!!

I was also thinking the same thing watching the game tonight, when Freo are on song they look an impressive outfit, but I guess so do most teams...

Dont worry about what others think

I also like to watch talent and give praise to great play and players

Hill is certainly a gifted player who is on his way to becoming great

Freo,s problem is they have too many Ibottson,s and his clangers got Carlton a sniff

For all the bagging Freo has copped in the past on its drafting the have done pretty well recently. Hill >>>>> Rich and the gap is getting bigger.

Yeah good point. I thought Morabito looked impressive too and was able to impose himself physically on a couple of occasions

their number 37 was by far their best player tonight. i keep thinking his name is mitchell but its not.

whenever the game was up for grabs, he was there with a goal, a vital intercept, a handball, etc etc that i thought prob won the game for them in the end. dunno who he is but get him on board

Like to watch him play. He reminds me, more than any other player I can remember, of the great Robbie Flower in the way he moves.

Isn't that Michael Johnson?

It was a big call at the time it has definately payed off.

Wasn't he impressive?.Just shows that an athletic tall is what we need to go with Jamar.

I only watched about half of the first quarter and the whole last quarter.

Am still getting over Ibbotson's kick across field.

Carrazzo's injury may have cost my dreamteam!

Their drafting has been absolutely sensational the last 2 years. Hill, Ballantyne, Suban, Morabito, Fyfe, Crichton, Bollenhagen, Roberton all look like very good players in the making. Not to mention the mature age steals in Broughton, Silvagni and Barlow. Even McPhee doesn't look a completely stupid decision at the moment.

To make it as a side they will need to get a couple of tall defenders - McPharlin, Taz and Grover aren't getting any younger, but their drafting of running players has been spot on, and I hate to say it but superior to ours.

All they need now is a less horrible uniform and people might to start taking them seriously. Honestly they look like a bunch of surfers out there, especially that player with the blond curly locks...albeit playing some good footy ;)

He's a jet, isn't he?

As he continues to develop and be more damaging, teams will work on finding ways to shut his run down.

They'll do it, but it will take tactics that create weaknesses in their set up for Freo to use.

But, like any player like a Judd or Ablett (not that he's yet in their stratosphere) teams will adjust to contain him.

both hill and morabito haven't been the best of late, hill has been unable to shake tags and morabito has just been plain old quiet. morabito hasn't yet received a nomination either.

what a difference a weeks break makes.

both excelled and showed why they were picked up early. hill....wow. morabito made a horrible blue in the 1st quarter then afet quarter time was sensational. he might even earn a nomination for rd 22 !

Great bloke, still comes and watches us amateurs when he's not playing from his junior club days. We dream when he retires he'll come back and play for us and move us up to "A" grade :)

I think the AFL should do a thing like cricket and have the players go play a weekend at their old junior clubs. Watch Hussey a few times in the local comp.

Let's shoot you down :P

Freo have copped an unfair bagging for some time now on this site for the recruitment and list which I cant believe.

They have cut alot of the old wood and drafted judiciously indeed.

Where are all the critics who slagged Freo for taking Hill at pick 3 a couple of years ago ahead of Rich?

And Morabito in a few years could be anything. Could be brilliant but with the odd clanger thrown in.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
