I actually quite like Fremantle. Maybe it's because I empathise with them as being the whipping horse of practically every other team for several years, and so enjoy watching them finally stick it up em.

I have been expecting Freo to implode all year but it hasn't happened. Any side with Bradley and McPhee as two of its stars has got to be a bit suspect.

The problem is a few of our young boys are looking a bit tired and the big Subi oval will test them.

I can't believe Harvey considers Headland to be in their best 15 players. Maybe its because I don't like Headland but I thought he would be a depth player now that only gets a game when they have injuries. Headland has never delivered on the promise of his draft pick or form at Brisbane with the help of the fab 4.

Headland is in nobody's best anything. 3rd in line receiver mid at the Lions, he hasn't changed at Freo. Makes you wonder about Harvey - I never rated him at all; wonder if the wheels will fall off with the Barlow injury? Wouldn't surprise.

We still have some serious fades during a game that can last for almost a quarter. Until we can iron out these creases, we will be the underdog travelling anywhere outside the MCG.

If we could play 4 quarters of good footy, we would beat Freo at home. At the moment we can't.

I won't be tipping us this week, but I'd be thrilled to be wrong. I'm really looking forward to seeing the battle between Jamar and Sandilands. The two best rucks in the game at the moment. I just hope we put up a good fight and if we're close at 3/4 time hit the ground running and throw everything at them in the last.

Freo were horrible against the Tiges with some extremely poor finishing and major brain explosions happening at both ends of the park. Ballantyne in particular had the worst game I've seen him play, and without him firing they definitely lack something up forward.

Point is that they will be looking to bounce back in style against us, but then again, they said that about Essendon...

I can't imagine them playing like that two weeks in a row.

I won't be putting any money on it, but on paper (assuming the team stays more or less the same) I think their key players might be covered by our key players. Barlow was massive for them. They're a few goals worse each week without him. Kind of like if we lost Green, we'd be a 3 goal-a-week worse side.

Also, we regained Jurrah. While he wasn't dominant, and might have had a few scratchy moments, did everything you'd ask of a player who's just looking to work into a bit of confidence.

The team is up and about after last weekend. I don't think we played our best footy, but we can do some damage here. A win is not as ridiculous as the negative nancies above suggest. It's not likely, and the bookies will reflect this, but we've had tougher odds this year. We'll go closer than we did against Geelong, put it that way.

Agree with your thoughts. What do you mean- heard on Fyfe- he is not injured,just down a little on form. Has grea potential, fantastic poise.Will develop into a top half forward flanker.

He made the point that they are missing 9 of their best 15 players. I was very surprised. I asked him to list them and he said Grover, Tarrant, Fyfe (who he reckons will be a champ), Headland, Mayne, Broughton, Barlow, McPharlin (and one other I don't remember).

With Jurrah and Sylvia back (and maybe Junior) and a side that's full of running and has some depth, I think we have as good a chance as ever to knock over a big team.

It wouldn't supprise me if we won, I think both Morton and Bail will come in to add that hard running fitness that is needed at Subi. I think our match ups will be good down back, Dunn will play on Pav when he is on the ball and Frawley will get him when he goes forward.

We are not without a very slim chance, but I would feel more confident if we hadn't gone to sleep in the last quarter against Essendon. I think we will match up on Freo fairly well, but it will take nothing less than four quarters of committed footy if we are to be any chance at all. At this stage of our development we rarely dish up four quarters of committed footy.

Yeh, I don't know how many will come straight back in though.

In fairness, Harvey did say those injuries were there for the Richmond game, not the Melb game. But what we do have is a good running game, so if they bring too many underdone players in, especially McPharlin, Grover and taller types, we might run over them at Subi.

I'm no Headland fan, but if he's worse than Hooper, Banik, Hutton or Lounder then he must be pretty awful.

If we win this game, then we will not lose another game for the rest of the season & we will make the top 8 & play finals.

In all seriousness, I will he content if we keep our loss under 40 points.
