With the 2010 season only having 10 games to go plus finals if we make them, what or who would you like to see before the season is out. For me I would love to see the last four games, assuming all are fit, our forward line up like this

Bate Watts Davey

Aussie Jurrah Green

You could add Sylvia in there but I want to see him in the midfield. To me that forward line is exciting.

If you're asking generally...

4 more wins. Not sure who against, and not really bothered. But I reckon if we can get 8+1/2 or 9+1/2 with a big end to the season it'll gain us a lot of respect and have the pundits picking us as playing finals in 2011. Most importantly though, it'll make the fans VERY excited in the off-season, and lead to a big retention of members, and maybe even rope in a lot more.

If we can match that with, conservatively, a 6-4 start or better that'll make a big difference to our bottom line. I can see it happening too... there's a LOT more improvement left in us.

Oh, and one more thing. We play a number of games against teams that, for some odd reason, we've struggled against. Hawthorn, Port and North are 3 I'd like to see us solve some issues against, if not beat. Likewise, if we lose to Richmond or Brisbane (the latter by a large margin), it'll undo a lot of good work we've done this year already. So likewise, if we can just hold them at bay and not get humbled, it'll go a long way to giving me some confidence in our reliability.

One thing I would like to see if we get to Rd 22 and we have had a couple more wins, the following team, for the last game assuming all are fit, just for the bloody fun of it and give the supporters a glimpse

Strauss McNamara Cheney

Morton Grimes McDonald

Scully Gysberts Trengove

Jetta Watts Tapscott

Jurrah Fitzpatrick Bail

Gawn Blease McKenzie

Maric, Bennell, Hughes, Healey

I don't think I have missed anyone and 'Junior' is the perfect captain

Hmmm i like your idea but i wouldn't want to go in without Frawley and Garland in the back-line. They're still young enough to be counted as part of the youth movement.

This is a very interesting idea ... just not convinced an AFL club would have the "balls" to do it.

However, interesting if you look at our draw Rds 16 & 17 ... Would be opportune time Rd 16 Away to Fremantle Rd 17 Home to Sydney

Then we would be looking to have a "Barn-Storming" finish to the year with a rejuvenated rested senior list ... plus the added bonus we would be able to fully evaluate our whole list prior going into a very important draft.

Could well be a short-term sacrifice to seek a long-term gain.

I want to see us finish out of the bottom 4, but to do that we've got to end up with more wins than one of Port, Brisbane, or maybe Essendon or North (and that's assuming Adelaide, WCE and Richmond stay below us). So it'd be more realistic to hope for an amount of wins. Let's say 3-4 more.

I'd love to see us knock off someone considerably higher than us on the ladder (e.g. Hawthorn, St Kilda, Fremantle, even Essendon).

But most of all I want to see the continuing development of the team and the individuals.

Not a bad wishlist Jaded. I wouldn't mind a decent scalp in one of those wins. Maybe St Kilda or Hawthorn if they are getting busy towards the end of the year.

Shouldn't it be ball gets Jamar?

It's reverse, so really Jamared gets ball makes no sense.

I might change mine, the Soviet Russia jokes are pretty funny around my school...maybe, in Soviet Russia, pwned gets Collingwood

- keep getting games into all our young guns

- agree with OP, get our forward line playing together, in particular Watts, Jurrah, Green, Bate and Wona playing games together

- defensive unit continue to develop

- blood some games into Blease and Strauss

Addam Maric get an extended run in the second part of the year. I think he has done everything asked of him of the past month or so, He should've played in Darwin.

6 of our last 10 games are against teams outside the eight. I'd be happy to beat all of them.

I look forward watching the execution of the "game plan" continue to develop, along with the kids.

Would love to see more forward "structure" becoming apparent, particularly with the imminent return of JURRAH and hopefully Aussie & Watts with some good form.

Ideally (edit: realistically?), 3-4 more wins, and two of those against the Bombers and Hawks.

Pretty Accurate.

Give a taste to Tapscott, Fitzpatrick and Blease (if he can get fit in say 8 weeks of solid Scorps work).

See Strauss return at some point.

See Bail overcome his injuries (i think he has a fair amount of talent)

Not convinced re Maric given blokes like Bennell and Jetta in team but probably deserves a shot

And likewise re Cheney (the little red grunt man).

Obviously 3 or 4 more wins but the most important thing is development for the years to come.

I want 5 Flags in succession so that we have 17 in total surpassing both Essendon & Carlton

Whilst this is happening i wish to set a new Home & Away Attendance record of just over 100,000 people.

I want all this to happen while Jim Stynes and his board are at the Helm. B)

Thankyou carry on.....

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
