I think all our favourite non-MFC players is now playing VFL reserves.

Looks like the last great thing he did in his career was hand the demons Jack Trengove!

The Richmond fellas behind me were laying traditional Tiger crap on all of their players last Sunday, but I was amazed at how often they talked about Jordan McMahon. For a guy who wasn't even playing that day, I thought they were unusually obsessed with him ("he's earning 300k at Coburg and has never done anything good. Get him up to the seniors so he can get smashed every week and earn his money.") I nearly turned around and said to them that the only good thing he's ever done was to give us Jack Trengove.

Actually Jordan got us Tom Scully rather that Jack Trengrove.

If the Melb v Rich game result was reversed ie Richmond won by a point. Richmond would have ended on 4 wins and Melbourne on 5 wins. Melbourne would have received pick 2 (JT)and Richmond would have received Pick 1(TS) plus a PP at the end of the first round. This must really hurt tiger fans when you consider Tom Scully was a Richmond supporter.

So heres to you Jordan! Your heart beats true.........

If we did not get the PP last year we would have had only pick 1. With pick 1 we would have taken Scully...thus we would not have had Trengove.

Jordan McMahon was another disasterous list decision by Wallet and Miller. Their scars will sit with Richmond for many years.

I am not surprised Hardwick would not warm to McMahon. But on Sunday, he could not have done worse than some of the crud they had out there.

If we had have won that game against Richmond we would have simply lost to Freo in the next few rounds. Draft picks 1 & 2 delivered.

So while Jordan was handy for us he wouldn't have dee-railed our plans :)

I enjoyed being amongst the crowd last week so much. Even the old MCC members were getting stuck into the Tigers-with very little reply! :)

I dont think so. Richmond was a game we did not want to win.

We did everything not to win that game despite the opposition. It would have been a potential disaster for us

Freo were 5 times worse than Rich and we would have had to manufacture something even more extreme than in the Tigers game.

I feel sick thinking about what would have been required to engineer a loss to Fremantle.

Mate it looks like your favourite non-mfc player is running(slowly) around for the blues going by your profile. Might need an update :)

Incorrect.

If we had defeated Richmond (thus losing the PP), Richmond would have got the wooden spoon and received pick one, and us pick 2.

Therefore Trengove to us in all probability.

should have tanked againts the blues the year b4, would have ended up with Watts and Nicnat, oh well

We shouldn't have tanked against anyone. It is a blight on the club.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
