Seriously, there should be some kind of weighting to these votes from round to round. Today's sixth best on ground wouldn't equate to sixteenth best in any kind of half-decent effort. Ugh.

6 - Brad Miller - Stamped his authority with a superb game, dominated the aerial contests.

5 - Jake Spencer - Brilliant in the ruck, gave first use to the midfielders.

4 - Lynden Dunn - Looks ready for a breakout year in 2010, and could push for the Bluey.

3 - Cameron Bruce - Handballing skills are a delight to watch. Never turns it over.

2 - Joel MacDonald - Stuck it up the Brisbane Lions with a dazzling display.

1 - Nathan Jones - He was right, Tom Scully really does make him a better player.

Ha! thanks Y-M. Enjoyed the irony

Trengove has to get the 1 vote for me for a great first game.

It has been weighted in the past. Not sure if that's going to be the case this year.

What are you on? It looks good.

6 - Jordie McKenzie - Looked like Junior out there, his tackling was sensational.

5 - Brad Green - Talk about courageous. He was the spark.

4 - Jack Grimes - Good movement out of the 50, will be a star

3 - James McDonald - Had a solid game

2 - Ricky Petterd - A bit inaccurate, but he worked hard considering our midfield didn't help

1 - Jack Trengove - Just because. Had a great debut.

I don't normally comment on people's ratings but how in hell does Bruce get votes for yesterday's performance. Talk about rewarding rank mediocrity

After a day to reflect on it and (almost) getting over the disappointment:-

6: Brad Green - our full forward for at least the first half of the year please.

5: Jack Trengove - for an excellent first game. How good would this kid be in a real team!

4: Tom Scully - see #5 above.

3: Jack Grimes - game no.13 and the real future of the club.

2: Jordie McKenzie - player no. 13 and the real future of the club. Permanent promotion to senior list now please.

1: James Frawley - the worst job in the AFL, playing as a key position backman for the MFC, but Frawley handles it with as much poise and assurance as can be expected from someone who has played less than 50 games.

As for the others: why must Jones always handball to players who are wedged between 2, 3 or more opposition players?

Demonlanders - you have voted a new hero (just). Current standings on the weighted system:-

3.649573 Jack Trengove

2.606838 James Frawley and Jordie McKenzie

This rounds votes (selected at random) came from:

Waynewussell

6. Jamar

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
