Outstanding odds get on now

Firstly, I don't know why you'd bet on Melbourne beating Hawthorn/any other quite decent team - it's probable we'll lose and thus you'll get nothing, regardless of how 'good' the odds are. However, this comment probably betrays the fact that I'm not a gambling man :P

$4.80 does seems enticing, but I still think we're likely to lose.

It sure did.

Weird.

Adam Cooney also at $34 without another teammate higher than Boyd at $51 is better odds than Goddard. Sure like Goddard though.

Best bets:

Brendon Goddard $34.00 for Brownlow

and to try and keep a Melbourne theme

Jack Trengove $6.50 for Rising star looks good too.

And remember: Gamble responsibly :)

Not as good as at Centrebet where they are shopping him at $8 :)

I'd say we're a pretty good chance to finish last again.

Don't think so. What are the odds for Richmond to win the spoon? Because it looks like the betting agencies think Melbourne will win the spoon three years running, but we have a better team, so that ain't gonna happen :D

And $28 for Bazza is a great bet. He'll definitely finish Top 5.

It's no $7.50 for Jurrah to wear a short sleeve jumper in his debut.

Did he actually wear short sleeve? It was long-sleeve if I remember correctly, same as Fletcher punching 2 of his would-be goals right on the line...

They pulled the market hours after they put it up and I'm pretty sure they got smashed the whole time.

It was definitely short sleeves and whilst Fletcher did stop a couple of his goals, he still nabbed one to pull in the $2+ it offered

We're bad, but we're not Richmond bad.

Best bet of the 2010 season is Carlton to miss the 8 @ $2.05

I'm watching Richmond Carlton now... and I'm feeling pretty good about an investment in MFC to push the Toiges out of bottom spot....I reckon we are Richmond bad and I'm waiting for Saturday with trepidation

??

Did this market actually exist?

Only for a short period of time --- Sportingbet lost $5k in the end.

By 4pm on Friday afternoon word spread that the alternate jumper we were using that evening was produced in short sleeves only. The BigFooty punting board caught wind and once Sportingbet noticed an abnormally large number of bets on the rank outsider in a two-horse race they quickly shut up shop.

And the thing about the Tigers is at least they can score some goals. We'd probably lose just because we can't score as much as they can.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
