Scully and Trengove on footy show

The Great One 99

Recommended Posts

The MFC Facebook page reads: "Tune into the Footy Show tonight to hear the latest from Draft picks 1 & 2 Tom Scully and Jack Trengove live on Ch 9, from 9:30pm."

Not sure if that means they are on, or just news. Just in case anyone wants to sit through the rest of the crap to find out.

They're probably confirming that Scully and Trengove will play Round 1.

Nathan Jones tweeted they'll both be appearing. Hopefully someone posts here when they're on - can't really stand to watch the show generally.

Scared me a little that Jack said about the club being a great place to start his career... maybe he was just like a bunny in headlights on the show. But he kind of gave me the impression that he'll be gone in a few years.

Did anyone else get this feeling?

Yeah, most definitely.

I think it was a carefully orchestrated move by Trengove to make his intentions known to the football world, before he even plays his first AFL game.

Nah. He wouldn't have signed for three if he felt that way.

I don't get the impression from Trengove he is that arrogant he is already planning his exit out of the place!

He hasn't even played a senior game of AFL yet!

He was nervous, and if anything, is probably sick of being paraded around as the face of the club.

He has signed for 3 years, and his best mate is at the club for 3 years too...........when we start winning games, he won't be going anywhere.

What was the actual interview about?

It wasn't a real interview as such as they intorduced five draftees(Lucas, Melksham, Cunnington, Trengrove and Scully) with Gary having about a 30 second chat with each of them. Nothing intresting said and no information on the new draftees, just the stock standard I am fitting i really well and the club and all the boys are treating me well

First time I have fully watched a footy show for about three years and I don't think I am missing much to be honest, Sam Newman has to go for me to watch.

For what its worth, i thought the footy show was entertaining last night. each to their own.

Scully was great last night, obviously nervous, but him standing inbetween Browny and Hall was great fun.

This is a little paranoid..

Jack's just a kid, and to me it look like he was just happy to get through the interview, without making himself look like a tool. It would be a huge call on his part, to proclaim AFL stardom before his first game.

I don't think there was any personal agenda in what he said.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
