We might be able to squeeze one in as a rookie. I'm not sure how the mature age rookies fit into things in terms of how many we can have. Possible that one or the other will be in there. Otherwise we'd have to use the PSD 1 for them and if we were going to do that we'd have just taken them now.

short answer= NO.

Joel McDonald has been confirmed at PSD1 by Connoly.

2 remaining rookie spots have been committed to Meesan and Newton.

Cant believe we didnt pick Daw up at 66!

If we were going to pick 1 of them up, wouldnt we have just done it at 66?

Is there a reason why you would wait until the PSD / RD?

It isn't hard to believe. We have one remaining vacancy on the list which is committed to Macdonald. The reason we didn't pick either of them at 66 is clearly because we don't want them.

So the short answer to the OP is no, it is not possible that they will be on our list next year.

Didn't think we had any spots left with Meesen and Newtown put on there. Disappointing!

Correct, our rookie list is full, if we go by our promise to Meesen and Newtown. Besides they both have a year to go on their contacts.

Can we just [censored] them off by paying them next year's money and draft some kids - Majak Daw for one. Panos would be good if he was still there at 17.

I thought we would have taken a punt on a forward. Perhaps Bailey is banking on winning a premiership with midfielders.

Bit of a let down, this draft.

Ill go strait out and say how i feel about pick 11 mainly im excited about taking him though i am worried would of loved Lucas but oh well.

Must trust BP,

Also his highlights dont really show elite skill or speed.

But lets not be negative overall im happy and excited!

I have been calling all year for Newton to be payed out. Now we are not tanking he is a worthless, waste of space. Other clubs have paid out contracts (Haw - Thorpe, etc), so we can too. Newton will never make it, as certain as night and day. Get rid of him and free up the space for Grimes or Patrick.

I thought Meeson showed something in his 3 games before getting injured. Nevertheless with two new ruckmen and his failure to deliver at two clubs I would not be against paying him out either. Lets be ruthless.

Dump the duds!

Go Dees!!

4 of the most popular names on this site without a home; Patrick, Panos, Temel and Daw.

Three of those four were obviously over-hyped, even to the numptie armchair recruiter like me.

I am surprised the other wasn't taken though.

Matthew Panos

Serhat Temel

Majak Daw

Daniel Archer

Dylan Grimes

Joe Dare

These are all KPP's that we should target in the Rookie Draft. Personally, i think that there is absolutely no use redrafting Meesen as we have just drafted two ruckmen in Gawn and Fitzpatrick. All these KPP's were expected to be drafted so imo the Dees should take a gamble on one of them.

I tend too agree but unril we see them play who knows make a judgment than there were other players i would have prefered but lets face it the media hype up certain players its a guessing game to an extent lets hope our team of midfielders can win a flag hey!

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
