Tomorrow.

really ? a bid sad :( ... a fair dinkum player ol' Richo. One of those from other teams I quite admire.

I hate that these announcements get leaked so early. Players, especially of Richo's ilk and standing, deserve to break the news themselves.

It was great watching you Richo

Damn, not the biggest Richo supporter but he was truly a champion of the game. Comes as a big shock to me because he looked certain to play on next year, but it seems kind of fitting that he is giving it up the same year as Matthew Lloyd.

Agree with 45hg,should be the one to break the news.

Honestly even though he hardly played this year he will be missed, my whole familys richmond ...so i watch a fair few richmond games will miss richo.

Ch 9 Broke it of course!! Richo you are a true Legend of the modern game, & a Top Bloke. He will work on TV though i bet-Natural.

I actually heard it on channel 7.

Always liked Richo.

I do wonder though how many of these grief stricken Tigers supporters on talkback this evening, are the same ones calling for Richo to be traded barely 3 or 4 years ago

The Tiges are at the same stage as we were @ the time of the sacking of Daniher.

They are in for a major rebuild from here on. Good luck to them at this woe full time of the draft.

Sorry to see you go Richo.

Love watching him.

Vastly underrated and should be particularly commanded for sticking with the Tigers, when lets face it, they're [censored] and he isn't.

Good luck to him in the future, he has a few businesses and no doubt he will also end up in the media.

He retires as a one club player, unlucky that due to injuries he didn't play 300 and a nice guy.

Agreed.

And he is indeed a lovely guy, who definitely doesn't always get the respect he deserves as a player. Had he played for Collingwood/Carlton/Essendon you can bet he'd be considered one of the greats of the modern era.

Hahaha...ha...that was a joke right?

yeah taking the [censored]...

Seriously though, Thoughts?

Well, with Richo out of the picture my money is on the Tiggies taking out the spoon this year.

Hats off to Richo, will go down as an all time Richmond great.

282 games. Loved watching him. Unfortunately had to go out this way. All the best to him.

See you round the Wood for a coffee champ.

Waiting for Richo's response...

Yes. Let's face it.

I only just came to this conclusion too. ;)

Richo will go down as one of the greats, He always tore us apart. At least Richmond will be able to add something to their trophy cabinet next year even if its made of wood !!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
