Went egg-throwing with his friends. Got suspended. Idiot.

He's had a bit of a talking to from Sydney. He's a really good player, they certainly would hope he doesn't turn into an off-field problem.

gee wiz, he went egg throwing with mates, your a tool, its not as if hes doing armed robberys, what kid hasnt thrown a egg, you are an idiot. ;)

It's not the egg-throwing. It's the fact that he's an AFL player who clearly hasn't thought about how this may have affected his career.

And for the record, I've never thrown an egg in my life.

yeah it going to affect his career, throwing an egg, your as stupid as the man that wrote the articule, maybe he should put in shackles for his crime.

Being an Old Xav myself I can only hope that their throwing was accurate, especially towards those Scotch poofs.

What if he cant sit his VCE exams because of this then has a career ending injury in the off season?

Pretty f***ed then

pretty f###ed then, just like your pathetic pessimist little pea brain.

Wow, he was involved in some school shenanigans. This is bigger news than that [censored] kid and his stupid balloon.

Best lock him away for the next three years so he doesn't develop a drug habit - I've heard that egg throwing is a gateway to booze, pills and crack before you finally end up dead in a gutter with a needle hanging out of your eyeball.

It's sad that this is even news.

He'd just sit them externally.

Not quite.

First, people leave school without completing VCE and survive.

Second, he'd be 100K* better off than anyone else who leaves school without finishing VCE.

*guesstimate based on a two-year deal + match payments

I am a recent Xav as well. The admin there are hopeless, they have learnt sweet FA from last year. These suspensions don't achieve anything.

Developing into an off field problem?? What are you smoking?? FFS the kid is 18. He's just letting off a bit of steam. Talk about bloody tall poppy syndrome.

On a scale of 1-10 against Fev......a 1. This has been so blown out of proportion it isn't funny. What school doesn't have "muck-up day shenanigans"? Why have the media got it in for the Catholics?

I laughed... at the poor imagination of the Xavier boys. Egg throwing, really? lame!

We staged an entire terrorist takeover during our muckup day, managed to get 98% of the chairs in the school onto the roof of the building, played porn over the loud speaker, and hid alarm clocks in the vents that went off every few minutes. It took them weeks to find and get rid of them all.

If you're gonna get into trouble on muckup day (and you should!), at least make it worth while. Egg throwing... pfft!

And if he were in this year's draft would the question be "and how well did he throw it"?

I think Dan reportedly broke the record, I await the distances that were recorded.

Pretty sure his next "test" was the Egg & Spoon time trial. It was said to be tricky with a stiff 15 knots South-South Westerly blowing. But it must be said, all kids handled the spoon with ease. Nathan Buckley helped with this new test addition. Although it was nothing compared to the "kicking test" he was involved with.

The school next door for one. Xavier is way too large for it to be able to monitor all their students and prevent them from these kind of shenanigans. Also it is ingrained into its culture

I agree "Go Hard or Go Home" what a pathetic Article. Football journalism down the toilet.

Personalities are being squashed. SEN talk back will go mad!!!!

Its the off season. Let the kid have some FUN....

You an honestly an idiot, keep things in perspective his a kid and BELEIVE ME Sydney wont give two shits about this minor incident. Your post is a joke.

Never met a bloke from that school that I didn't think was an F-wit. Throwing eggs at girls and making death threats. Awesome. Muck up day is the biggest load of horse excrement since introduction of the 50m penalty.

Stop:Jurrah. The media don't give a #### about Catholics. Catholic boy schools on the other hand.........

People saying "they are only letting off some steam" etc etc need to pull their head in. I graduated from High School about 5 years ago, and none of our year level did this stuff... By the time you graduate High School, you should be mature enough to know that throwing eggs is lame and potentially very dangerous.

Not saying this story is newsworthy because unfortunately it still happens a lot at this time of year, but I can say this guy is an idiot for involving himself in things like this.

My year 12 muck-up day was wild. The teachers made us pancakes on the BBQ for brekky and then we all went home!

I'm not sure what's worse, Fev's Brownlow night allegations or Hannerbery's disgraceful behaviour

Massive storm in a teacup. "How this will affect his career"? It won't.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
