Thats goin to stuff his career

Slightly over dramatic.

Like I said, it's very disappointing, but I doubt it will be the end of him.

Dane Swan, Wayne Carey, Brad Ottens, Alan Didak, Colin Slyvia and even Andrew Lovett just to name a few seemed to have gotten on with their football careers ok after off-field "incidents".

It will always happen, they are young men.

That's not an excuse. I don't know about you, but I don't have any friends who have been charged, so it's just meathead mentality. It has to change. A lot of these footballers aren't the brightest candles, but surely they can be taught some manners.

Indian taxi driver.....just the news bumbling Brumby needs as he heads over to India to try and rescue the relationship between the two countries. High profile sports person beats up an Indian taxi driver.

His timing could not have been worse.

Great point re relationship with India and Fevola's conduct as well. However, we hopefully are jumping to a conclusion which maybe not true. I hope not- but think so.

Cant remember the last ime I was arrested for assaulting someone.

This is exactly why it continually happens. Why make excuses for them? They had a long season? Boo Hoo. I work 6 days a week why shouldnt I blow off some steam by assaulting an innocent bystander and get away with it?

They are just footballers like anyone else, they should be made accountble for their actions.

Haha, how ridiculous.

I've lived amongst many young men that are absolute mentalists when they get on the [censored], and none of them have ever been arrested for assaulting someone.

We should've taken Hurley instead of Watts, PERFECT replacement for Neitz. Well, almost perfect, haven't seen too many balls bounce of Hurley's chest...

My first thought when reading the article is why it needed to mention that the guy was Indian at all? How is it relevant to the story? We may be improving on our collective prejudice to other races, but we've still got a long way to go to removing the needless distinctions altogether.

I agree. Assault is definitely OK just because they're young men.

Right at this moment we don't know if it's relevant because we don't have all of the info on what happened. Let me give an example, if Hurley racially abused him as well as assaulting the guy then it would be very relevant, the result being very ugly for Hurley and Essendon.

Hopefully race not an issue...but taxi drivers don't always seem to understand that it's their primary role to ferry our drunks home so they don't try to drive themselves.

Neita?

Sometimes druck idiots don't seem to understand that they have to actually pay for a service being provided.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
