I agree with DB.

My top 3 for Bluey:

1st - Arron Davey: A sensational year. Has put his hand up to take over from Junior in 2011.

2nd - Brad Green: Was set to top Davey until a late season injury. Is super skilled and super tuff, I find his courage inspirational. Should be our next Captain.

3rd - Brett Moloney: A solid year. Inspirational at times, played all but one for the season and should poll well in the Bluey.

Col Sylvia has had a good year too... except for his 3 weeks suspension. Should be up there too.

Aaron would have to be odds on especially as the onle player to play all 22 games this year :D

Brad Green has missed several games through injury so thie will hurt his chances.

Stronger performances in 2009 have been by Beamer, Bate, Rivers, Warnock Col Sylvia, Chip

1. Davey

2. Moloney

The first two in that order are pretty clear cut for me. After that, I'd have Bruce and Warnock, but from 3 downwards, not a lot would surprise me.

FMD Rumplestiltskin, I like Brad Green but he's only played 12 games.

 !

1 - Davey

2 - Moloney

toss up for 3rd.....Sylvia / Frawley / Bruce / Bate

I expect the defenders to poll well as they have all had good years IMO

Beamer to be the deserving winner.

It is amazing. Green is an automatic vote catcher for fans even when he isn't playing.

Bests, can't be bothered thinking, put Green in.

1. Davey

2. Moloney

3. Frawley

Amen.

Some on here are betraying their footy IQ...

Green will be lucky to make top 10 this year IMO. Not knocking him or anything, i love the guy, but he hasn't played near enough footy to poll well.

My top 10:

1. Davey

2. Moloney

3. Bruce

4. Bate

5. Sylvia

6. Warnock

7. Morton

8. Frawley

9. Grimes (would be much higher if he played more)

10. Rivers / Petterd / McDonald / Jones

Off the top of my head

Best first year player.

Best club man.

Also i think they made an award in memory of Troy Broadbridge?

The Troy Broadbridge award was for the best MFC player in Sandy's b&f i think, so not sure whether that award will cross over into the Casey camp.

Best First Year player - Jamie Bennell

Best Clubman - Brent Moloney or Aaron Davey

Best clubman is almost impossible to speculate on IMO as it's more in house.

Frawley must be in the top 5. Joined by Davey winning, hopefully Green, Moloney and Bate/Sylvia

Posted

Davey, Moloney, Bruce, McLean, Jones, Frawley, Bate, Morton, Grimes, and Sylvia.

Pretty close to order, I would think.

I honestly don't understand these claims that Mclean has had a poor season.

Doggo, you used stats to say Sylvia has had a very good year - 22.1 touches per match.

Mclean has averaged 21.9

Top 7 in no particular order will be:

Bruce

Davey

Frawley

McLean

Moloney

Rivers

Sylvia

Just the way i've seen him this year. Don't expect everyone to see it how i have, but that's just my call.

It's all about impact HG. McLean is averagaing 0.2 stats less per game, but his impact has been well short of Colin's IMO.

I struggle to remember a game this year where he has been the standout performer on the ground.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
