Good to see Paul Wheatley back - even if it is at reserves level. It gets mighty cold up there at this time of year and Wheats is sure to enjoy the experience!

Welcome back Wheaters

Would love to see Strauss put in the seniors sooner than later...

I dont know i could be down right wrong but i get a strange feeling we will hear strauss to watts for many years to come...

really rate his style of play....

Its a shame Valenti is back down in the VFL. Admittedly I didn't see his game last week due to sport commitments. Not sure who should have been dropped in his place, but by all reports he has been dominating in the 2s for quite some time.

So after a game in the Casey seniors Strauss has been sent back to the reserves? Disappointing.

And Jurrah in the Casey reserves for another week. Coming back from injury but it seems he's a distance away from running onto the G sometime this season. Would love to see him back in the Casey seniors soon.

Spencer is curious. Another game in the reserves. Hopefully he can put some form together and get back in the Casey seniors. He is very raw but I think he's got plenty of upside in the longterm.

Good to see Wheat back even if it's just the Casey reserves. Will be interesting to see if he can push for Melbourne selection over the next month or so. I think he's got his work cut out for him. Good luck Paul.

He's on the extended bench for the seniors, he's still a chance to play.

He was overawed & played very poorly so had to be dropped.. He'll force his way back soon, I'm sure & hope for.

Last week was his first game back after injury and did not put in a full game. Hopefully this week he will come through and get selected in the 1s.

Don't worry about Wheaters, worry about LJ, he may see snow for the first time.

Good to see the guys will be running around in Ballarat seeing as I live there I will go for a look.

Eastern Oval is just around the corner so will chuck a report up after game.

Not quite correct Big Kev. Snow is selected to play alongside Liam at CHF and I seem to recall him seeing Snow during last week's game so it won't be the first time! ;)

If form holds true to the selection of Casey as well as MFC then Batram and Jamar being named in the 18 would mean they are both playing for Casey.

Out - Dunn, Valenti, Batram?

Casey related: Some of you may not care but I saw Casey listed player James Dean play at Mooroolbark today and he was disgraceful (for someone who is meant to be VFL level - handy local player)

Thanks for the info mate.

Looking forward to updates and how the melbourne boys go

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
