Wow.... sounds great! Great that both major sponsors are with us for three years.

I would love to know the detailed details :)

How much a season etc.

.just picked up my whelan bush fire jumper. Oh my, i'm walking on air

Guy at the counter confirmed a signing, as did future fund, but couldn't say who.

Surely it wouldn't be more than 2.1? Unless we sharked them.

That's great news, my new laptop needs antivirus software

It's not us! And all I'll say is it's a company that doesn't have a big profile in Oz as yet but you can all use their products.

Well you certainly cant question hankook1 one's sources on this one, spot on!

Also see the membership number has gone up another 200.

Seems to be going up 200 a day recently which is great news.

Im stoked with this get! CS and Stynes continue to impress me.

Sponsors that are going to be around for at least 3 years is a great get.

Melbourne Football Club boosts its defensive stocks with Kaspersky

Kaspersky Lab has signed a three year, multi-million dollar sponsorship with the Melbourne Football Club. In a nod to the company's global leading role as an IT protector, Melbourne's defensive players – Jared Rivers, Colin Garland, Jack Grimes and James Frawley - were in attendance, along with Club President Jim Stynes, CEO Cameron Schwab and coach Dean Bailey.

The deal between Kaspersky and the Melbourne Football Club includes signage, coaches' sponsorship, website advertising, corporate hospitality and other match day benefits. The Kaspersky logo will most prominently be seen on the back of the guernsey.

Kaspersky is joining with the Melbourne Football Club in order to establish its presence in Australia as a trusted IT security brand. Kaspersky has recently established a local office in the Docklands precinct of Melbourne.

As Melbourne Football Club CEO Cameron Schwab said on signing Kaspersky, 'They are the fastest growing internet security company in the world, they are number one in China, top two in the US market, and expect to be number one in Australia in the not too distant future – not unlike the ambitions of the Melbourne Football Club.'

thanks mate should have checked my emails!!

Awesome news! Glad we took our time with getting the best value for money we could, not jumping in straight away and taking whatever was available earlier... we got there in the end. 2, 3 year sponsors we can get behind. Sounds like a massive company that is expanding here is hoping we can keep them onboard after 3 years especially Kaspersky, we don't want another LG, not known is Aust then once the profile is large enough no longer sponsoring us.

A gr8 deal for us. 3 yr deal worth as much as the Hankook deal was reported to be (although what was reported might be a little low with regard to Hankook).

A new company lauching in Aust., why wouldn't u build your brand recognition by sponsoring a football club. Football = kids = computers = Need for Internet Security.

Well done Knackers!!!!

"Kaspersky Lab has signed a three year, multi-million dollar sponsorship with the Melbourne Football Club".

I assume that "multi-million" means more than 2 million as this will make our 2 major sponsers worth more than $4million over 3 years - hopefully closer to $5 million.

Believed to be worth 3 million dollars.

The deal was struck from one of our influential members at a Kazakhstan bellydance joint. No Joke. SEN sauce.

so a million a year?

thats more than Hankook?

That cant be right?

I think it is safe to assume that Hankook sponsor is bigger than this sponsorship because they are only back sponsors, while Hankook are front guernsey sponsors.

So probably around $4m. Which would mean our sponsorship deal is up there with most other major sponsors for other clubs.

Good news and means we have 1 less problem to worry about for the next 3 year!

That means we're getting an extra $600k+ a year through sponsorship, than when we were with primus. It is all starting to come together nicely.

A big hurray to Jimmy and his board. Vote of full confidence and support from me. Go you good thing!!!

This is awesome

Hankook= 2.1m over 3 years

Kaspersky= 3m over 3 years.

Total- around 5.1m over 3 years (confirmed on the club website!)

That $1.7m a year sponsorship for next 3 years!!!

That's more than Primus, more than Bulldogs major sponsor, and we don't have to worry about major sponsors in this tough economic time for another 3 years. GREAT WORK JIMMY.

With the sponsors out of the way, our membership bound for 30,000, our debt down to only $2m we only have 2 more announcements to come

1. Need to confirm a long term relationship with Casey, including a great summer training base with a fullsized footy oval (goodbye Junction oval forever!). This deal will also include a relatnioship with a fast-growing community, which can only be good for future membership.

2. Confirm the move to realign the MCC and MFC. This will benefit us financially, will confirm the MCG as our true homebase forever, and will no doubt go a long way in removing any thought of us relocating or merging.

Once these are done the only thing left is to improve onfield performance, which will only further increase future membership, and remove the remaining debt. $2m is a big obstacle but I have faith we can do it!

Melky weighted and change of angles work. Salem has his individual program. White cap (no contact), Howes, Woewodin and Sparrow

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
