Frankly I could not give a toss about how many trades you claim know or dont.

You seem to think that you know about trades above anyelse. I rebutted your comment. If you are true to your trade you would not make such gullible uninformed assessments.

From your above comment, its the worst case of pot calling kettle back I've seen for a while.

I only know about you what you feel a need to brag about what you do on this forum. You're pretty impressed about it.

Thanks for the titbits.

No, again, you assuming things..

Im not bragging at all, thats no fun!

Im merely supporting my point that I do not make things up, thats all, defending myself from your completely un-necessary criticism..

I am NOT bragging, I dont look for populrity on forums champ ;)

Im glad you enjoy the tid bits though mate..

Just learn to relax and sepect other peoples opinions, im not the kettle, im just defending myself, I dont go through all your posts and break them down for rebuttal, DO I?

I like the term 'cultivate'....., it would definitely be in their interest (Freo's interest) to turn the situation into a frenzy. Brain wash? I'm sure Carlton will be doing some cultivating of their own..... <_<

You had a hissyfit when I challenged your view in Point 193.

And chose to make uninformed judgements about what I do or dont know about trades as defence.

Get over yourself. I have.

I will quite literally have to burn down the CFC if we lose yet another player to those cheating bastards.

There is no LEGAL way that they can afford Judd, Fev, Stevens, and now Kerr and Warnock.

Trust the AFL to investigate us for talking to Warnock, but letting the "Judd is now Visy's ambassador" thing slide. Typical!

Totally agree. If Warnock goes to Carlton, the credibility of the AFL has been completely undermined. We might as well take up watching non-salary capped sporting leageus such as the EPL or hope for some Google-creating billionaire nerd to buy us out and start recruiting players who can be paid $18M for typing a few buttons into a computer. It is an absolute farce and I cannot believe that the AFL would be stupid or corrupt enough to be duped again. It's been said before, but here are some of Warnock's considerations:

No 1. ruck spot: Melbourne

Better chance of playing finals in new contract: Carlton

More money in salary cap: Melbourne

More money in brown paper (recycled) bag: Carlton

Family ties (we all know how well that worked out last time): Melbourne

Team best placed to placate Freo's trade demands: Melbourne

There's no point getting particularly excited or depressed before the fact. Otherwise we'll all get depressed like last year.

Last year, even Judd's auntie was under the impression he was going to Collingwood. No-one here knows anything, just sit back and let the cards fall.

Just seen on the morning news that Robbie Warnock has told Fremantle that he 'wants out' and is intending to 'head home'.

Hopefully 'home' is the Melbourne Football Club.

It seems to me that there is a lot of fuss being made and a lot of money being thrown at a player who has notched up only 21 games, many of which have been with limited game time.

So, he's very, very tall and looks agile but is that any guarantee that he's going to be any better a player at his new club than Cameron Wood at Collingwood?

Yes. Even in these early stages he has shown he is AFL capable with good upside and potentially a 10 year ruckman.

I guess your happy with Jamar and PJ going forward. I'm not.

Well looks like the cheats are favourites once again. Can't say I see why? Kruzer and Hampson are pretty handy. If were going to get him it's virtually guaranteed it will be with pick #19.

Anyway if he does go to Carlton I hope Matthew never speaks to him again

Neita3000, as I have read from the Herald Sun paper today on Warnock, Steven Icke was quoted: -

"When we did our list analysis at the end of the year, we realised we could do with the services of a ruckman to build our midfield stocks and we've been looking at the options available for us to fill that position."

Carlton are after a specialist tap ruckman to compliment Kreuzer.

I guess Hampson and Cloke will be feeling a bit edgy now.

That's not the issue. If I'm not happy with Jamar and PJ going forward, then I wouldn't be happy with Jamar, PJ and another second rater either (and on that note, let's not forget that we have John Meesen parcelled up on a contract for another 2 years as well).

I was asking whether he's really any good. Obviously, you think he is but I haven't seen anything in him that would get me excited.

How much have you seen of him? The fact that you have put him in the same category as our existing NQRs suggest you have not such much at all.

If we had a Cox or Sandilands then I would not be so fussed but we need to land a good ruckman who can move into a 1st ruck role and hold it capability for many years with good upside. There is a reason that 3 clubs are having a serious crack at him.

And we hold the Ace, im reffering to Having Matty Warnock.. which in terms of poker, means we have slightly better chance of winning the pot, but u never know..

That isn't an ace, it's more like an 7 of diamonds. It fits nicely into a straight, but on its own it's pretty worthless. Especially if paired with Rhino's 2 of clubs...

Cards analogies aside, having Matt Warnock would just be the cherry on top if he's already decided he wants to come to us. It won't be a deal breaker. If we've got nothing else he wants it will have no pull whatsoever.

Pratt and Judd would be seen as the Ace and King, Fevola the Joker.... ;)

(2) carlton are prepared to offer a second round draft choice

(3) the afl has cleared us of any wrong doing in relation to the meeting we had with Robbie last month.

With repect to Carlton, if they do offer a second round draft choice, the Dees should have them covered. Unless they are able to trade to get a late first round pick. I can't see them giving up their current first round pick.

So the AFL should have cleared the dees in relation to their meeting. Now they can put all their resources into investigating Carlton and any contact they have with Warnock's family members and keeping a look out for sweetners, such as appartments, job offers, etc.

Interesting bit of info on Robbie Warnock status hidden away in this fox sports article on tim boyle.

Talk about squirelled away... Good pick up !!

The only worry is if Robbie DOES have his sights on Carlton, bu then it may only then be a mattter of swaying his view once "legitimate" lobbying time begins ;)

We can offer him I suspect the #1 role at Melb..as opposed to a supporting role anywhere else.

It will be up to the CLUB to show him all the upsides of the club come next year. I'd be putting a certain Mathew Warnock front and centre in this Campaign !! Lyon Stynes Connolly and Bailey ..support roles !! lol

If it comes down to Freo having any real say in this...then you would think we can trump anything Carlton has to offer.

it needs to be shown to him:

He will play a very important and primary role

Melbournes facilities are coming along and will be vastly improved

Melbourne as a club is resurging and not really the basket case others would have believe

Ahh dont you love Trade week !! lol

Yep. You would think Connolly and Schwab will be catching up with those they know at Freo. Telling them to deal "with us!"

edit: "Please!"

If Carlton can please Fremantle, Warnock will go to Carlton. Compare the two clubs. Carlton has stability off the field, a more realistic chance of a premiership within 4 years and a great midfield that any ruckman could work with, a midfield that includes Chris Judd.

Melbourne, on the other hand, have off-field troubles, a comparatively worse list, a comparatively much worse midfield and less of a chance of a premiership than Carlton does.

The best thing we've got is the offer of being number 1 ruckman at Melbourne. Having said that, I'm not convinced that he wouldn't be the number 1 ruckman at Carlton either. There are other factors too, like Matty Warnock, the Fremantle presence of Connolly and Schwab, but if Warnock had to sit down and compare the two teams, you would think that Carlton would rank higher than us in most categories.
