Newton would be one worried player if the Dees land Watts with their first round pick. He is on a tightrope, and is about to lose his balance.

Will be given one more chance. If he fails, it could be goodnight for Juice.

he took a great mark and also kicked a great goal but made some costly errors

give him one more chance in the seniors

however, i wouldnt mind seeing the backend of him and sylvia at seasons end

I'm starting to think the same thing about Sylvia...

Newton was horrible. so slow and cant read the play, god lucky with a couple of goals.

I think people are being hard on sylvia, tried hard i thought and didnt have much luck, dont forget he was playing half forward with little supply had to go down and get it himself.

Mcdonald was also shocking, should never play again -youth policy

He's had his chance. Its time to go...... Michael 'Juice' Newton

how many chances has he had, 10 games?? yeah thats enough get rid of him :wacko: if thats the case we should get rid of most of them because they're not winning games and are very inconsistent

id' like to compare where miller and juice were at, at the same stage of their careers... hell even miller for the better part of last year... at least juice has constantly kicked a couple of goals.

if a crap day = 2 goals I'd hat to think what a good one is? while he may not develop into a dominant FF or CHF if we get one, i'd take 2 goals out of a decoy forward every day of the week. I'm sure Holland had days in that role where he struggled to get 2.

has shown over the last 2 matches that he can do the freakish and can be as petulant as at least one of the other best forwards in the land. he just need to have a 3-4 goal match to warm your harts in which has been a couple of cold weeks

on silv, he has to be injured, was lacking that bit of pace we know he has and suffered from players up the ground not kicking to advantage.

as much as i love junior, he had a much bigger impact in us losing the game than either of the afore mentioned players, but then so did a certain bald radioactive maget as well...

2 goals? One was a pathetic down field and the other a goal that was typical - freakish and a result of poor team play. The guy thinks defence is the thing that runs along the side of the house. He will not keep his feet and he is a liability with a poor work ethic. Has to go. I never want to see him in a Melbourne jumper again

You can't be serious!

Miller is not as talented as Juice, but he has ALWAYS been a team player. He sacrificed his own game to help out a depleted backline, and was brought into the leadership group at the tender age of 22.

Newton could learn a thing or two from Miller about workrate and unselfish play. That's why Miller is still at the club at 24, and has been given every opportunity to prove himself, while Newton is skating on thin ice after 14 games.

I didn't think it was his worst game from the replay. He chased and ran hard all day, but the delivery was rubbish, and he was ignored on a number of occasions.

On the negative side he dropped marks he should take, he losses his feet way to easily and he gets pushed off the ball way to easily for someone so big.

Here is hoping he will improve his consistency

We're last on the ladder with mediocre footballers such as Bell, Bode, Newton, and Jamar to name but a few, yet some here think that if they wear red and blue they must be half decent or worth persisting with. Well there are going to be some tough decisions made at year's end and some of those with unbelievably rose coloured glasses should start assembling their tissues now.

In all my years following footy I've never understood how some supporters are so easily pleased and prepared to tolerate crap players. There's always excuses as to why they're so [censored] weak. And when a real talent like Morton comes along, the Dingleberries from the other side don't understand why a skinny kid who's still finding his feet and wouldn't even be getting a game at a top 4 side has some areas of his game exposed.

I'm not sure which supporter is dumber. Those that see good in and want to keep every hack, or those that can't recognise genuine class when it smacks them in the mouth.

Welcome to the life on the forums of a Dees supporter.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
