Player comparison: Chad Wingard, Leigh Montagna

Profile: Really damaging player with some versatility. Reminds me allot of Chad Wingard. Skill level excellent by both hand and foot, has that combination of hurt factor and clean ball use that will make him a big time weapon. Consistently good decision maker. Good athlete and has that combination of speed and agility. Also has shown very early on that he can lift for the big games which is I strongly believe is something that he will take with him to AFL level. Can play as a midfielder or a forward at that stage but I like Toumpas most as an outside mid/forward at this stage because he still physically needs to develop and continue to work on that inside game.

Player comparison:Andrew Swallow

Profile: Wines is a really good all rounder and a real footballer. Good ball user by both hand and foot and decision making ability also very good and chooses the right option with regularity. Excellent at reading the play and gets into the right positions. Wines is a really big ball winner and is one of the more ready to play prospects. Wins all the clearances and contested ball and is a guy you can rely on, on the inside to get the job done. He isn’t a standout athlete but his endurance is excellent and his work rate is a real selling point to his game. Wines is already very physically developed so possibly doesn’t have the upside of some of the other prospects but with Wines you have to like the way he goes about his football and with his work ethic I see him as a sure thing who can become a very productive player at the next level.

Height: 187cm, Weight: 83kg,

Player comparison: Brad Ebert, Brent Stanton

Profile: Midfielder who consistently wins the contested footy and just consistently goes harder than the next player. Big time clearance player. Skill level is exceptional, uses it well by both hand and foot and rarely makes mistakes. Particularly stands out by foot and has nice penetration. Has also been noted for leadership and really leads by example out on the field so there is allot to like. Consistently plays to a high level. Athletically not as good as other likely high end midfield choices but is still a hard runner who will work all day and demonstrates great endurance and work rate. Tackles hard and willingly works both ways. Looks like a very low risk, solid pro who is worthy of a high draft position.

Injured in 2011 Severe broken leg), now back trying to asert his physical ability. Talent is awesome. He starred in the TAC Cup as a 16 year old. His first three games in the TAC Cup this year were quite remarkable - 10.6 from 23 disposals, 4.6 from 20 disposals and 0.3 from 31 disposals. He is just so strong, both in marking contests and when the ball is on the ground. Hekicked 10 goals against the Knights, and was so dominant, he looked likea #2 pick behind Whitfield. He will start as a CHF marking forward, who pushes up into the midfield at times. If he does get back to 100% fitness, then I think he'll be every bit as good as Dustin Martin in the midfield, with the size to play in or outside game. Big Risk, Big Reward. Could be a future AFL captain if he is physically ready. Think Dustin Martin meets Nick Riewoldt = Mathew Pavlich like.

Don't get too carried away with the descriptions of Stringer.

"Knightmare" on BF has done a phantom draft and views him quite differently.

Whilst he has done very well, there are still some that say his broken leg hasn't healed as well as it could have, and may restrict him to just being a forward at the next level.

I've not seen him play, but I'd be wary of not getting wrapped up in the hype.

Then again... None of us are making the selection decisions, so get wrapped up to your collective hearts' contents!

Hard to say where Stringer will end up, people had queries over Selwoods shoulders when drafted, he has barley missed a game since.

Then again he could be majorly restricted and then career cut short ect....

Don't get too excited - just watching the FS and they are saying that Melbourne have indicated that if GWS take Viney with their first pick, we won't use ours and will pass on him...

Just said on the footy show that Melbourne will not use their first pick on vineyard and are prepared to let him go to GWS.

I think it's a ploy to stop GWS declaring its first pick for viney, putting themselves out of the race for a player who might be rated ahead of him.

Guys, I heard a rumour which I can neither confirm or dismiss about MFCs strategy in drafting. Apparently we have advised Viney and his management that if GWS or GCS select him and effectively try and force our hands we have a gentlemen agreement that he will avoid us ad join us a year later. Apparently the management group think this occurred to to us with Sully and want to repay the favour. I this would mean we select who we want and then do a deal to force Viney the following year. I has anyone heard of this..
