My friend attended training yesterday and this is what she texted me … “Went to training today and wow just wow- I have never seen them like this! It was full-on. Serious training no holding back. Only me and 2 other spectators. The rehab group were on the back oval- but all were running, moving and kicking really well as far as I could see. The boys are so fit! I can’t wait to see them actually out on the ground.”13 points

Personally I am not fretting over anything that I cannot control, I’m going to enjoy going to the footy with my family members and surrounding supporters and barrack for the boys like my life depends on it I will enjoy the Demon Army over to my right and hopefully enjoy my 4n20 pie, get a seat in the Rydder Room at 1/2 time and hopefully see us win a final or three in ‘25. I will love Kozzie whilst he is in the Red n Blue and not so much if he’s not.7 points

Trouble aplenty right at the top at Ikon Park with Michael Warner getting his teeth into this sordid story that will clearly impact on the culture of the Blues. Carlton boss Luke Sayers’ d*** pic scandal under AFL investigation Blues, AFL probe president after lewd social media post There are already rumblings at the club about the coach after the team fell apart in the last two months of the 2024 season and went from premiership contenders to falling out of the finals with an insipid first half against the Lions in the elimination final at the Gabba. On top of that, players are falling over like flies. Runner up best and fairest Nic Newman ruptured a patella tendon at training today and will miss the season. Season over for important Blue after serious knee injury This comes on top of a bad hamstring injury to midfielder Sam Walsh at training on Monday which will keep him on the sidelines for at least the next month. Charlie Curnow is also on a modified training program after undergoing ankle and knee operations in the off-season. It’s a familiar scenario for us Demon fans, a reminder of what we went through last year. Wishing Carlton fans the best of health in the months to come.6 points

Even from my limited knowledge of the electronic world there appears some big problems with the hacked excuse. As well why take a picture of your gear? If it was on there it can't be used illegally. I keep on at my grand daughter. Never take a picture you would not want me to see.6 points

Don’t want to rouse any ‘bad karma’ for us, but I love hearing about other teams in the news. The more the merrier. Come forth all thee with sordid and salacious stories, tales, half-truths, even rumors - let’s get them all out in newsprint for all to see.6 points

I think it is one of the most pathetic suspensions I have ever seen. One second before impact there would have been contact with Moore's stomach, as they both ran in for a loose ball. Then inexplicably Moore drops to his knees. The Collingwood supporting Tribunal Chairman struck again.5 points

Most of the outside world have us finishing 15-16 this year. It will be very special if we can get back to finals this year. Hopefully the whole Football Department has set a Standard that will not be compromised.5 points

The Legacy Series | Episode 3 | Noel McMahen Premiership captain in 1955 and 1956 and MFC Team of the 20th Century member, Noel McMahen passed away in 2022 aged 95. This interview was recorded in 2020 before the club’s last premiership. Noel was born three weeks after the club won its second flag so his lifetime spanned 11 of the club’s 13 VFL/AFL premierships.4 points

Bluebaggers in crisis mode, hnmm messy situation,at least heat drawn away from us for a change!4 points

Contracts don't seem to worry anyone these days. Dees need to play hard. Freo need to give up something decent or wait till free agency in 2028. The club doesn't owe any player an easy option out no matter what. A contract was signed so bad luck as far as I am concerned.4 points

When Maynard gets nothing for ending a career and Kozzie gets 3 for an unlucky bump, the system is stuffed. The BS technicalities applied to get big club’s players off like Cripps, who ended a Lions’ season, are symptomatic of a money above all else based sport.3 points

If it was us there would be 5 stories about poor culture. None yet that I have seen on Carlton. Why? I think I know the answer.3 points

Yes early in his career but he's changed his play a lot, so I don't really agree. Latest suspension was an absolute travesty. Moore slid low to take Kozzys legs out. Moore should have copped the suspension. Koz just braced for impact. And yes it will definitely hurt us at the start of the season but it definitely wasn't his fault3 points

Campbell is at his 4th club. If he was good enough to be in our starting 22 he wouldn’t be on our list. I think he’s a nice player and excellent addition but I’m realistic about his role.3 points

Let’s face it, club presidents are a dime a dozen. Carlton will get over the change at the helm if it has to happen. A deeper problem is the injury situation and the fact that, apart from losing Newman who is a high value player, others of the calibre of Charlie Curnow and Sam Walsh missing the preseason lead up is a big blow.3 points
-
Newman is a big out. I didnt rate him as a player for many years, but he has built a solid career and is the leading voice in their defence. He was going to move into the midfield this year. Sayers has always had a bit of an underlying stench to him. A little bit of smoke but no visible fire situation. I'm not surprised. Carlton's list is bloody solid though. I wouldn't be dancing on their 2025 grave just yet.3 points

I dropped past as I was in the area, they were about to start an intra club with official AFL umpires. There looked to be a few Casey players to make up the numbers, unfortunately I couldn't hang around to watch as I had to get going. I was hoping somebody else could fill us in but I'm not holding my breath as I didn't see anyone else watching on.3 points

Rather than significant draft capital I really wish we'd demand Josh Treacy (or to a lesser extent Jye Amiss) who looks ready to take the league by storm as potent goal kicking key forward. Freo's season went down the toilet after Treacy went down. Freo need to give up something big in order to receive something big. The price has to be expensive for a contracted player.2 points
