So Boak is Bugg's bunny? I tried not to post this, it's a disease.24 points

Adam Tomlinson also potentially in the mix for a tall. Contracted, but adamant he's walking. Carlton favourites, but Dees interested.18 points

Last one it is going to cost Pick 6 and Howe. GC have formally agreed its just convincing A or B to leave this year. Prestia is weighing it up more so now more then ever as he feels unwanted that GC would consider it and Jäeger is just concerned with the dollar. I've said to much. I am done.13 points

[censored] you all, I offer the same news earlier today in the Jaeger O'Meara thread and I get ripped to shreds. (I even revealed the sauce like an idiot) ashdemons22 says something similar and you hang on his every word :/11 points

Great, now I have Peter Griffin stuck in my head on a loop. Thanks. But I'd be all for Bird coming to the MFC.11 points

I'm sorry guys I shouldn't have done that quite harsh on my behalf haha Clearly my credibility is on the line here ethier way so I'm just going to ahead and say what I heard. Prestia or Jäeger in red and blue next year. May your drink brew nicely over this weekend have a good weekend legends.9 points

Victim of footy supporters seeing everything in black and white. If you are not a star, you must be a dud. Awful footballers just don't play 150 games.9 points

Yes you have said too much Ash. Very brave man. Many Demonlanders are now in a lather and will be in an excited state over coming days.. This is either the greatest call of all time or will be embarrassing. And you know how Demonlanders can turn and eat their own.8 points

Could we ban people who post trades without stating whether it's their own ridiculous proposal, or an unsubstantiated ridiculous rumour.7 points

Spoke to my source this morning who talked with Dawes last night. Dawes was asured by the Dees yesterday that he's going nowehere. Said that there's no way in heck that he'd go to Carlton or Essendon.7 points

Any chance there could be a thread started exclusively for all the oddballs and outcasts to post their excruciatingly lame and unfunny puns? It's pages and pages of absolute dross on here because of it.6 points

The guy who finished seventh in our best and fairest just signed on for three years, basically committing to finish his career with us. Impressions are that he is not on any grand amount of coin, either. He has given a glowing endorsement of the club, its new coaching group and the younger players coming through. We all know his main deficiency. Yet, so does he - I know that I’ve got a great relationship with my line coach, Jade Rawlings. Simon Goodwin has come in and he’s a great offensive coach, which I know I need to keep working on – in terms of that side of my game. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2015-10-07/we-now-have-premiership-players-garland So exactly what is the point of the endless supply of hate-rants about him? Some people need to pack up their ego and poorly-handled emotions and move on.6 points

That entirely depends on what / who we get through trading him. There's something thoroughly NQR and on the nose about the way Howe and his manager have handled his departure from the club. They've managed to turn a player, who should be a hero of the club, into someone we're sick of hearing about. He's shopped himself around and has given the impression of a player purely looking for a bigger pay day. I have nothing against a player needing a change of scenery, more opportunities or even better remuneration based on performance... But Howe and his management have turned this into a public cattle auction and the MFC and its fans have every right to feel frustrated. Compare this attitude to that of Colin Garland and ask which player would earn your respect as a team mate.5 points

How is he mortgaging his team's future by trading first round picks for a 20 year old CHF who has runs on the board? McCarthy has another 10 years left! Very simplistic assessment you've made. Bennell is only 22 as well, it's not like they're bringing in Hodge and Lewis for a one year tilt.5 points

Love that a player who chose to come to Melbourne specifically, turns his nose up at the idea of going to Carlton or Essendon. :D5 points

When Garland had his navicular issues a few years ago, he asked to be involved in the scouting of the next draft class and attended junior games and the nat champs. That's above and beyond in my eyes, that's an example of his character and desire to help the club. I hope that is a SCINTILLA, C&B, but I will let you decide... Anyone else have any anecdotes? Make C&B feel better...5 points

Yes, he 'only' gets 40% more possessions, 25% more marks, 40% more 'inside 50's', 600% more goal assists, more contested marks, more marks inside 50 and 100% percent more goals. Hogan is also faster, cleaner, better off both sides and a far better decision maker. Other than that they're virtually the same.5 points

Bernie posted a picture with Lachie Neale on Instagram. Conclusion- Lachie Neale is the big fish. Straight swap for Dawes.4 points

Who wouldn't want Jeremy Howe? https://youtu.be/1SCNwmHzetU Shhh... Everyone be quiet about how he turned it over to GWS just outside their 50 immediately after this. What a mark!! Imagine the attendance boost Gold Coast would get from J Howe in a Suns guernsey. He's worth a few hundred bums on seats. Also, we will take Prestia.4 points

Howe's not a competitor, has never played one 4 quarter game and always tries to mark from behind, which is hopeless for a forward. As a football club we're moving beyond Howe types.4 points

Found this bit interesting in the article “He’s an elite endurance runner ... be he’s a dominant repeat sprinter. “He’s got an amazing capacity to get up and down the park as a wingman or high half forward.” Have I missed something here!! I must have been witching someone else on the park!4 points

I believe it's the club who wants Howe out. Most clued on supporters know that Howe is poor in a contest, but Dermie summed him up perfectly the other day when he said he won't mark in front, it always has to be from behind. And for me, that's the main reason he's so unreliable as a forward and always has these long quiet periods. Gunston is a great mark in front and in front of his eyes. Watts and Howe aren't. Howe is a $350K player looking for $500K. Bye.4 points

Howe must really be desperate for money. Going to a club that finished below us on the ladder and relocating his life. Again. Glad we are sticking by our deal. Do not overpay players who don't deserve it. We need all the worlds money for Hogan. All. Of. The. Monies.4 points

I was fascinated to hear that Bugg kept Travis Boak to 11 touches in 3 quarters this year before he was inexplicably moved off him at 3 quarter time. Have heard from a reliable source (and I'm sure the poster that earlier claimed to be a mate of Bugg's can confirm) that Bugg isn't interested in coming to a club to be a tagger or a back pocket though. He feels as though he has much more to offer than this, and often enjoyed playing NEAFL and having a license to hunt the ball and kick a goal like he did in his junior days. Melbourne has offered him 3 years with a vision that he'll be given much more than just shut down roles. It will be interesting to see how it pans out, but maybe they see him as being able to fill the Bernie Vince-type of role off a wing?4 points

Levi has the one thing that Dawes doesn't have...the ability to take one grab marks. Dawes has the one thing that Levi needs to work on...a decent kicking action. Take your pick but i'll take Levi.3 points

You're the one who first used stats. Stupid stats. 4 possessions per game is significant when you're a power forward. And FFS, it was Hogan's first year. Everything improves from here. Hogan won't be targeted more than he was next year as opposition clubs knew he was the main man from the get-go. The Bulldogs dropped Boyd because a more mobile forward-line works well in the current climate. We need agile marking talls to complement Hogan. We need players that can keep the ball in when it's inside 50. We need a contemporary forward-line. We don't need Casboult. Carlton may not think they need him either.3 points

Are you really that naive Treloar has nominated Collingwood GWS are playing hard ball and want more than Collingwood are offering Carlton has 1st pick in the PSD A leak suggests Calron are offering more money Treloar's manager acting in his clients best interests says he is open to this GWS weigh up the 2 Treloar walks and they get nothing They take Collingwoods offer and get 2 picks FFS it isn't that hard to work out, how this is being played out,3 points
