Of the available i would go for Watts and of the potentially available i would be happy with any of them except Meyer and Johnson but not really sold on Bradley or sampi either.

Geez I am praying hard for the magical Jared Brennan

If you saw his 7 goal gaul agsinst the Pies at the MCG, then you will understand why

ben Mckinley is contracted for next year so isnt an option...

Fergus Watts is our realistic option who is young and would potentially add alot to our side if he clicked his game like he has the potential to

haha, lets get mckinley next year CAC...yeah i wouldnt mind brennen but i fear that the two really good options that could pop up in the PSD will go straight to richmond and carton and we will miss out on any bargains..

I'd take a punt on either Bradley or Watts. It's a PSD pick so it's not like you're expecting these guys to set the world no fire, but if they do than it's a bonus. (I'm working under the assumption that even if Brennan nominates for the PSD, he'll be picked up before us)

The one advantage we have is that we have more room in our salary cap than Richmond, and after the Blues signed Judd I'd guess the same thing. So a player can nominate his price to get to us, just like Gasper did to end up at Richmond (I have a long memory!!) and avoid us.

Interested in looking at Danny Meyer - top 10 pick with pace - could add something we're missing.

What's your call on him goodoil?

With five spots still to fill on the senior list (assuming Bode will be promoted) I can't imagine we'll let anymore players go this year.

according to wikipedia, bode is promoted

def get x man clarke, seens to be injuries now

Darren Pfeiffer would be worth a look. Pick 17 in 2005 running backman who reportedly has a lot of potential, was playing very well for Norwood and a lot of the Crows fans are very unhappy with him being cut. Apparently the problems might have been off field so if we could turn him around he might be a great pick up

Jude Bolton has signed a new two year contract with the Swans, I believe Selwood has re-signed with Brisvegas. I'd also heard whispers Sampi was going to be given one more year as well.

The list is thinning. If a few names aren't added to the list it may not even be worth participating in the PSD. No player mentioned in this thread excites me at all.

Have to be careful who we pick up int PSD, we dont wont a dud, i think Brennan is a liability... i think more players will come to hand. Prismall from the cats would be a good option if available

can somebody like J.Brennan be drafted in the natioanl draft before the PSD?

Yes.

Posted
Yes.

But they don't have to nominate for the Draft do they? and if they do are the paid the minimum salary? where as in the pre-season draft they can put a price on their head.

Posted

I thought I read somewhere over the weekend that Ian Perrie got delisted by Adelaide.

He's no Wayne Carey, but as pantaloons says, the list is thinning and is pretty uninspiring so far. Perrie might be a handy pick up at a cost of next to nothing.

Only delisted players can nominate for the national draft on Nov 24, otherwise out of contract players can walk into the PSD, name a price and get that price. Unless you're Whitnall, and then you'd take anything.

Only if their club delists them. Players contracts are valid till the 31st October, and final nominations for the national draft is prior to that. Otherwise Judd could have gone to Carlton as their 1st pick in the national draft, without the fuss.

Yes.

Brennan can't nominate for the ND unless he is delisted by Brisbane, which won't happen. Listed players can only nominate for the PSD. (Was that the question?) That's my understanding anyway, I stand for correction.

As for the current list, well, colour me uninspired. I'd prefer not to participate based on that list.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
