  1. if memory serves me correct .. there is one or 2 missing robertson vs geelong rd 21 ? or somthin
  2. soft cheap call him wat u want. he has done nothing but good for MFC. i dont care if he has a pathedic 2008 i am thankful for a player like him over the years .. so often he and robbo have provided highlights in seasons which i would rather forget and there is many of them. ummm .... Statistically Yze hasn't been too bad over the last few years. But that doesn't tell the story. Many of his possessions have been "cheap". He rarely puts himself in dangerous positions anymore; he rarely works to provide options; he doesn't do much "unrewarded" running; he rarely takes a hit for the team and he doesn't always go when it's his turn. But most of all the stats don't show what he does when he doesn't have the ball. And that is where he fails most. that sentence is all good... but im affraid one single inncident will sit in ur mind and can be exaggerated thats WHY WE USE STATISTICS ... hard solid evidence good luck in 2008 ooze
  3. i dont know if he has that much talent... ill guess we will find out... but yes we are gettin him for nothing if we do get him.
  4. anyone who thinks this is me ....... under another allias.... its not...
  5. bruce has done it too... sydney vs melb reasons for bruce captain = best player when on song = voted by players in leadership group must count for somthin.... i dont care if he doesnt inspire u = middle aged- has experience but still can perform consistantly = most disiplined player in the side.... u dont see him lose his head... have brain fades.... (kick must improve) = he is a smart and clever footballer
  6. ive been takin a break from demonland... but i had to come back for this topic. Brock Mclean.. the end of 2006 the stage was set. he really didnt have to do alot to cement him self for the future captain be it next year or in 2 years. (this is true even tho i would have prefered another captain) 2007 Some might say he suffered some badluck about his broken foot... but he still struggled right up to round 22, this year we saw glimpses of him being unfit, slow , worry under pressure and lack concentration. but i think most were willing to forgive him The last thing he needed were some off feild-inncidetns .... which brock claims were more "badluck" well to brock i say "badluck" mate. it was there for the takin and you couldnt wrap it up. to the people that say u want no other player after neitz to captain other than brock... i ask u to take a look at his year this year. captains bruce green rivers
  7. nice work deanox..i will prob drive thanks buddy. as for our computer... if u were a moderator u might have a clue. but ur not. lookin forward to ur next cheap shot? or maybe il see u at the game
  8. all i know about fergus watts.. is he was the player in the dream team comp... who u get coz he was on the bottom of the price list...
  9. so are we talkin memorable moments or games? lets see how silvia goes in 08 .... next year this thread will be more interestin
  10. lol did that go straight over ur head.... im sayin it strengthens ur defence
  11. i belive any list is capable of winning a flag. its not just one thing that wins u a flag... everything need to be correct.. as for my comment... if u have fire power , weak defence is now a good defence
  12. they are too very unrelated inncidents as for fergy being out, probly was more of a good thing. i watched his game it was good... not memorable coz it was a stand out performance.... but coz we didnt expect much.. im not sayin he isnt great, but dont rate him too highly to quickly. (brock mclean)
  13. he always seems to play well in brissie... kicked a few tellin goals a few year ago when davey vollied that goal pettard has not had any memorable games from performance... maybe because of injury and a few better than a first gamer performances. lol... i agree 2008 will be the telling year make or break
  14. and once again.... rhino richards doomy and gloomy prediction, the end of the world for the MFC is near. personally id like to see them all play in the same game... see who can play around the ground up back or forward... who can trouble the oppositions ruck in the hitouts etc.. playin the same opposition ruckmen will also establish a better understanding of who is better and wat role they are suited too, maybe in the wizard cup? i like the idea of a really tall side.... i think its abit more daunting for the opposition. it is likley this will not happen.
  15. woewodins career can be summed up the same as andriy shevchenkos soccer career
  16. from "memory" is not good enough ... he did not struggle to get a game... u go back and watch his last season it came down to one game where he kicked 3 on hte full in the last qrt... an angry collingwood took their anger on him... he did not play bad, and this is irrelevant my point being he could have played alot better at melbourne during that time.. we willl never know, we can not determine if it was wrong or right, it was just a decision as for my point about underperofming 27 year olds... i didnt mean to be specific maybe i should have said they are going to either clear out the dead wood and bring in the youth or they arent, gettin rid of trav serves no purpose with fergo jamar and cj still on our list
  17. i think u should watch ur mouth.. obviously these TOOLs are passionate about the club, and become attached to the individual easy. is it a crime to be emotional about a loss of a player who has been a starter for the last 10 years for our club.. Woewodin.... u cant judge wat he could have done at our club after his depature... he did quiet welll at collingwood and if u followed him u would have seen he was a victim of a poor collingwood performance. not giving u a break it may be slightly irrelevant but jolly and armstrong have wat no other current melb player does a premiership medal and if they can get in the best 22 of that side... its a valid point that has to be made.. i myself are slightly angry about the decision..... i liked him as a player and i guess we al expected more of him.. but the club decides to get rid of a 27 year old player... who still could peak.... for a draft pick... to me they are sitting on the fence.. they either wanna clear all the old underperformers out or they dont.. why is miller fergo and players like cj and jamar too traded or delisted
  18. bailey... u better know wat ur doin ... wizz , woey , thompson now trav who is next? goodluck travis... all the best for the lions. only one good can come from this... we can fit another midfielder on the park each week dunn, moloney and silvias days at sandy are all but over
  19. so wat ur saying is ur not gonna fight, but u will ? this post is just putting ur foot in it
  20. article seems alot of rubbish to me "Geelong coach Mark Thompson also called frustrated Brent Prismall yesterday to placate the midfielder, after the player had asked the club on Monday to trade him. The 21-year-old is under contract for next year and would have required the club's co-operation to move, but equally, the Cats would not have wanted to retain a player who did not want to remain." I SPOKE TO BRENT MONDAY... AND PERHAPS HE IS LYING TO ME. BUT HE SAID HE DOUBTED HE WAS GOING ANYWHERE AND SEEMED PRETTY RELAXED. "Johnstone remains tied to Melbourne for 2008 on a substantial contract, which could be the main obstacle to a deal." Pretty big obstacle if u ask me. now u can talk about all the trades u want ... but if trav wants to stay which i think he will. he wont be going nowhere. if we are gonna get 14 from brisban for jonstone ... i cant see the point in keepin jamar, miller may as well get as many first round picks as we can... and start young and fresh.
