Judd omens for those who believe in the supernatural

If nothing else works then you have to go for the coincidences, trivia or the supernatural.

I read in the HUN today that one of his Companies is called "Three Zebras". There's obviously a subliminal connection between Sandringham, the MFC and Judd. I don't expect him to play for the Zebras but let's not forget that the Dees do a lot of their pre season training at the Sandringham ground which is apparently right around the corner from mum's place. Surely, that's more important than the $$$'s and the draft chocies when a player makes up his mind what club he's going to play for?

Any other of these 1%ers that the club can hang it's hat on?

Here's one... every club that doesn't get Judd would prefer him to go to Melbourne than, say, Carlton, Collingwood or Essendon. Melbourne is the 'sentimental favourite' in the chase and hopefully this is worth something. I am so sick of wankers like Dwayne Russell saying 'we are not a big enough franchise' - what are we, a McDonalds restaurant? His (and other people's)obsession with Americanism in sport makes me sick. Let's hope the AFL doesn't end up as a meaningless, soul-less business like the NFL - I know a lot of Americans who love their sport and not one of them gives a flying f&^% about an NFL team.

I struggle to see what we can't offer this guy that he might want. We can pay the dough, we have some good young talent (that becomes finals material with Judd in the side), a new coach with a fresh approach (and the gift of the gab), a great new training facility in the pipe and great connections for non-football stuff. What will Dick Pratt offer? A date with Dick's wife (no thanks) or a job in a cardboard factory? If the Blues win out due to 'off field' factors then we might as well all throw in the towel now as no-one will ever take MFC seriously again...

We must get Judd.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This is not a time to be conservative.

Be BOLD Melbourne and get your man!!!

Judd was drafted with pick 3. Wears number 3. Born in 1983.

And if we flip the M on our logo clockwise, it looks a little like 3. :huh: wow. if that doesn't get him, nothing will.

1983 - 1+9+8+3 = 21 then 2 + 1 = 3

now that should seal it now jacey.

:lol:

Toot toot.. chugga chugga.. here comes Judd ;)

THIS WOULD SEAL IT!!!! genius. MFC must call Anthony Wiggles brother any buy the Big Rde Car.. As miss twiggley dropped the plans for raising a family as being one of the reasons CJ want to come back to bayside melb how cool would that be for their tribe!! The loacn honda dealer is a demon supporter and could display on loan in meantime!

Luv yr numerical symetrics but have two questions for you who can work all that out. If 3 is the factor does mean MFC will take 2 years to win a premiership as aould be 45 years since premiership in 64? Or will we have to wait until 2010 on basis that 2 +10 = 12???? :wacko:

(sorry to spoil the theories BUT the main problem with it is that MFC's next premiership will be 13th!! we've been stuck on 12th which I thought was lucky at the time fow way way too long! Premiership in 64 was 12th over all and 6th in my lifetime & I was born in December so I thought it was good omen :o

NOw if Juddy had sat down with MFC on anniversary of the day MFC last one the premiership (was earlier this week) would have been good omen!

2010 - 2+0+1+0 = 3... which (amusingly) is also 3 years away

If you want a good omen,

I had a dream a week ago, MFC approached me to talk to Chris, show him around the MCG and convince him to play for the Dees. I told him about how he can make a mark on this club and am the best modern day football this club has seen, and then we reminisced about the good old days following Gary Lyon, Swartz, Grinter, Danny Hughes, Strawbs, Wilson, Lovell, etc. He looked me in the eye and said

"I WILL PLAY FOR THE DEES"

Bring on JUDD

J is the 10th letter of the alphabet

U is the 21st

D is the 4th

J + U + D + D

10 + 21 + 4 + 4 = 39

3 + 9 = 12

1 + 2 = 3!

Youv'e hit on it ML.

using your logic(?), the following applies

L = 12

Y = 25

O = 15

N = 14

this totals 66

6 + 6 = 12

1 + 2 = 3 (Lyon and Judds number)

It's a done deal.

And, if you add up the birth years of Lyon and Judd, 1967 and 1983 , giving 24 and 21 respectively,

the difference is ....3!

    CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

    The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

    I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

    Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
