This will sound strange....

But.....

I would rather see our boys punching on with opposition players in pubs/clubs all across the city, as opposed to drink driving, sooking on the field and/or beating up their wives/girlfriends!

It has been a frustrating year for us as passionate supporters.... Imagine what the boys are going thru!

Role models = Yes

Robots who like being injured and losing to Collingwood = Hell No!!

Sylvia + Alcohol = Trouble

There is a simple solution to this. Decide whether you want to be a professional footballer and get your body right, or whether you want to be a tool that can't hold his alcohol and gets into fights.

I stood by him following the Didak incident, but honestly he has not learnt a thing.

It's a shame, because he could be a very good player. I just hope the club investigates and clears him of any wrongdoing. We don't need any more dramas.

well.. I suppose I will take the part of the ol' fuddy duddy !!

Get the boy some help. A good mentor. Then he decides what he wants to do with his life... be a champ, the makings of which he definitely has...or be just another has-been pisshead !!!

If he doesnt look like taking the right path.. sorry to say..get rid of him

From one ol' fuddy duddy to another - absolutely agree! What would he be earning - $150,000 - $200,000 per year? I like the way he plays, but gee, he hasn't given much value for money over the last four years! Injuries I can cope with, but the trouble this bloke has landed himself in over the journey does not inspire a lot of confidence that he will turn it around. I would be sorely tempted to flick him if he doesn't change his ways!

Nice on Col, hopefully he didn't beat him up too much, need him to take a few cheap marks and kicks on the weekend for my dreamteam! :P

honestly people he' 21 years old. he's allowed to have a few drinks on a sunday/monday night.

give the guy a break, he's allowed to have a life.

as long as he's not breaking the law or getting into punch ons then people should stop getting neurotic about a 21 yrold bloke going out

Deserves to be disciplined for that sort of behaviour. I'd suggest that he be dropped from the side for the rest of the season. Let him get some hunger for the game and make him play for Sandringham for the next fortnight. They know the meaning of discipline down there. Perhaps he might learn.

Im sure Kevin Rudd was involved too.

He'd been with the group earlier but had accepted an invitation from some bikers to shoot out to their clubhouse. I understand he flaked out in the back seat. It was only the third time he'd ever had too much to drink.

Who goes to Motel on a Sunday night?;)

Col seems to mixing with the wrong crowd.. Didak, and now McPhee.

He should be hanging out with people like Brock  , for example, and get spotted walking down Fitzroy Street at 2am on a Sunday morning.

Realistically, all the players do it. I have seen many a player out and about.

It's just that Col gets caught up in stupid [censored] and is found out, bringing the club into disrepute.

He needs a good spanking/talking to seeing as this isn't the first incident, and I like the idea of a mentor (Byron perhaps? ;) )

It has been a frustrating year for us as passionate supporters.... Imagine what the boys are going thru!

Plenty of people have far more to worry about in terms of frustrating lives, and don't find themselves in this sort of trouble.

On the other hand, some do...I'm not hanging the guy, but that's a pathetic excuse.

give the guy a break, he's allowed to have a life.

Oh, so he didn't? I thought 'blue' was code for fight.

That's got to be one of the dumbest things EVER posted on this site.

Anyway, AT LEAST THE PLAYERS CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT HOW THE SEASON IS GOING. We are doing our bit by turning up and cheering.

Colin's trade bait as far as I am concerned. All potential no substance.

Go Dees - Onward and Upward

Krazy Jay. I think you have forgotten Sylvia has already had a violent incident involving women (his girlfriend at the time if I'm not mistaking).

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
