He’s lucky he just signed a contract before this game

Great gear Greg

I think it would be a step backwards if we dropped Latrelle. He's an obvious talent.

Well done to Paddy X

Outside the box. I would like to see Max Heath on the bench. When Max Gawn has a rest put him down in the forward pocket. He would attract defenfers like flies freeing up the other forwards. What do you think?

Uh…well…I was wrong. Apologies to you and good call.

Surprised by this - but glad we're persisting with Trelly for a bit longer.

Wonder what Rivers has been told to work on, bit stooged with no Casey game this weekend tho

Rivers another premiership hero…. Let’s hope it’s just a blip for him as has been a great contributor and clubman

Surprised by riv being dropped. Thought they may have dropped trelly if I’m being honest. Wonder what his been told to work on or why his been dropped

You would like to think there may be some experimentation throughout this season. We aren't holding up a cup this year. It's got to be about bedding in a system and mindsets. Maybe seeing who/what works where etc

Would love to see some outside the box thinking implemented by the FD.

Just have to wait and watch 🤷

It's an 8 day break from Fremantle to the Carlton game which is more than enough of a break to be fresh & ready to go seeing that it's only round 3

I am not arguing or agreeing, I was just passing on what I was told.

What’s the benefit of dropping Rivers?…..It’s the clean slate thing, no favourites, perform the role expected of you or make way. Still think he’s stiff but quite like what it says to the group.

Dropping Rivers is a [censored] astonishing decisions that really makes me question what the coaches are doing

I have complete faith at the moment

Wow. Unexpected.

Rivers was far from our worst over the first two weeks.

Show some on field leadership, convert regulation set shot goals when your team has just conceded 5 goals to the oppo, don't mess up a handball receive from a teammate that results in a turnover.

I'm sure other senior players are on notice as well after last week....8...3...

I'm not overly excited by the decision as he's a pretty decent player that could help us win but I get the process behind it.

Surprised to see Rivers dropped but happy with the message it sends. Nobody is safe.

Besides, his form to start the year has been pretty [censored] poor. Lots of weak tackles over both weeks and fumbly moments over in the west. He's not to blame at all for the loss but that fumble and turnover goal to start the second half last week was as bad as Nate Caddy's miss the next day. Completely demoralising.

Who knows what else is going on.. had the sense he wasn’t in Kings thinking for the midfield. Several times pre-season King named players to run through the midfield and he was an after-thought, or not named at all.

Not playing his role? Not fit? Disruptive influence..?

Just spitballing but at this point of Kingy’s reign, we just need to back him in and hope Rivers gets with the programme.

Dropping Rivers is dumb. He was one of the better players last week and has consistently performed at an elite standard. Not happy!

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
