NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Featured Replies

It sucks that the opening round matches are scheduled around the teams that have the juiciest axes to grind.

But this season it’s next level. It’s like Curnow and Waitering will be the only players out there.

Who will kick goals for the Blues?

Mackay will have to kick a bag

i'm hoping curnow kicks a bag just to see the carlton fans lose their minds

Am I the only one who noticed that the mark paid to Curnow was not a mark? He juggled it and collected it over the boundary line, by quite a way!

Only my opinion but both of these are poor defensively

It’s like watching Demons play missed kicks, missing goals

Sydney seem to have adopted that attacking offensive melbourne style of play. goals flowing.

Still too soon?

Quick ball movement

Swans with way too many jobbers in their side. Cut too deep moving on Hayward, Florent and ten first rounders.

Putrid doesn’t even begin to describe Sydney’s quarter.

Did Norf make the right choice taking Will Phillips over Logan McDonald? It might be looking that way

During practice matches the telecast often missed a centre "bounce" by playing a replay. I hoped this wouldn't continue but tonight they missed the first "bounce" of the season!! Grrrr!

low quality affair so far

That’s an understatement

papley doing his flopping routine

Taking a page out of Curnows book.

Very low quality first game for both teams. Horrible watching.

I know it's the first game but the skills in this game are putrid.
