POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne

Having just got home, is there a replay? Scores? Details?

Can't find much online!

All summer I felt that we're probably better than the general football public think. Now I'm probably slightly more confident than even before. Latrellelooks like he'll make the grade.... and then some!

i reckon we'll have a good crack at the flag this year

It will be interesting what the Max 1 and Max 2 experiment looks like next week. There is no way you can't explore it. Particularly with us facing TDK/Marshall up first.

Lots of positives thought Howes and Sparrow were both well above expectations. Koz ready to go next level and Latrelle improved the longer the game went.
Windsor underwhelmed to expectations and as mentioned earlier the backline talls were a bit rusty.

One thing I do know is we certainly won't be boring to watch.

OK did max play?

Only saw the final term but it looked good. Loved the quick ball movement & kicking straight & seeing the mids hit targets

It’s flag

How good has Jack Steele been. Leader and high quality player with a point to prove. We got really lucky.

Lots to like otherwise from today's game:

Latrelle is going to get better and better as his confidence grows. His cousin too (somehow).

Howes looked good.

Langford putting his hand up for a permanent gig in the middle after his last quarter performance.

Lindsay out of the backline is just class. And then Salem joined in and reminded us how good he is.

Thought Kolt did some good things, after some early shaky moments.

The succession plan looks good with Moose in ruck.

Too many other highlights to name. Love the gameplan. All feels really positive; I think we are definitely going to win the premiership.

(Not sure about the 2 min scenarios. I was quite happy with the scenario we were watching where North were down by 86 points).

With North being so so meek and poor, it is difficult to rate that preseason game. Any decent defense like Swans or Cats would have stifled half of our run and carry in transition today.

Our big boys looked steady & strong in both defense and attack. I can't believe that we might have position pressure in the forward line between Jeffo, Kentfield, big Moose, JVR, etc... Looks like Scarlett's role in helping our big forwards and defenders is already having a huge effect.

Our kicking was poor but did improve throughout the game, until the last quarter when everyone was exhausted in the heat.

Our gameplan is going to rely heavily on the kicking skills of Salem, Lindsay, Bowey (when he is back) from half back.

No Gawn.

Also at half and full time first it was pretended North needed a goal with 2 mins left in a real game (they failed). Then at full-time we needed a goal to win in two pretend minutes... we managed to goal with maybe a minute and a bit to go and held on from there so technically we won three times.

Make the grade…? it’s as if he is playing with his own football

I think we need to keep Langford in the middle

Need to see more from JVR, Jeffo, Windsor next week

Best game I've seen Howes play

Howes played really really well. Looks confident and ready to cement his spot. I was really surprised tbh

Highlights to the game are up on the social platforms. (You tube, Fox footy)

Damn! Makes my $101 look terrible 😄

It’s ok you still have time to have an extra flutter at $151. Seems crazy odds to me.

I know you have to be a midfield accumulator to normally win it but if he could have a couple of good early games and be spoken about in terms of a Brownlow then it doesn’t seem like a $151 type of chance.

I've run out of cash after re-mortgaging my house on a Clarko sacking before round 11
