7,8 and F1 (probably 10-18) is a head turner in my opinion. For a 30 year old possibly on the decline I think we win that trade.

Sets us up nicely for the future, time for a good ol death ride for the suns next year.

It can’t it’s for 5 years get used to it that’s why we have moved so steadfastly on this track It won’t go away.

Why can’t it- GWS are saying they don’t have the cap space- that’s fair enough as this came late but they can make space over the coming years.

3 firsts including one next year is nice!!

Death ride the Trac and GC!!

8 first round picks in 4 years is nothing to scoff at.

and 1.3 mil a year in cap space opened up, Zak Bailey, Zak Butters, Bailey Humphrey pursuit again. it gives us options.

Potential 3 Firsts .... still... 'Sack Lamb!!'

F1st needs to be 2026 not 2027.

Yes, I want to immediately death ride

I'm soooo ready for a GC death ride.

They've lost a fair bit of depth during this trade period. I wouldn't put it past them to slide a bit in 2026.

Ainsworth, Fiorini, Budarick, Flanders.

None are out and out stars but all played a handy role at some point this season.

Still have my Jack Fitzpatrick Irish guernsey with EnergyWatch on the back.

Ah, back when we used to be a basket case.

Wait a sec........

JUH at Suns and unhappy BH will help.

You have to be kidding me! Sick to death of Lamb treating picks in the 20s like expired coupons. No wonder we have no depth.

Went the early crow here. If Tom Morris' trade is the real one, then Lamby boy has made out like a bandit!

Hard to imagine we don't look to move up the draft order to potentially get access to Sullivan Robey.

Had a chat with Jack Fitzpatrick on a plane recently. Nice guy.

Very happy to death ride GCS and watch the smug, heartless Hardwick suffer!

Not to mention Swallow retiring - surely that's a calming influence out the door

Why is a future first rounder for 24 and 28 delighting so many people? Obviously not seeing what others are seeing.

Pity it's not picks 6 and 7 so we can say the trade is a bit 6 7

My son assures me this is funny to (very) young people

Please don’t mention 6 7 on here too. I’ve kicked all 4 kids out of the house. Done my head in with that Siiiiixxx Seeeevvveeenn sheite

I don’t know the truth or otherwise of this, but someone in one of the Dees groups on Facebook just posted that pick 8 was off to West Coast. Anyone know anything about this?

not 1 first rounder, 3 first rounders.

GC no guarantee to finish high or even finals

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
