Sick of this guy. We tried a lot to make a work. We’ve entertained a trade that works for him to find a home to play inside mid rather than rot at us

send him to GWS

I’d rather he go rot in western Sydney with the NRL culture for nothing than let him go to Collingwood for nothing

ADHD in a nutshell.

Unfortunately.

Saying “someone with poor impulse control and big emotions is ADHD in a nutshell” isn’t really accurate and it’s worth being careful with that kind of shorthand.

ADHD isn’t defined by emotion or impulse issues alone. Those can show up for some people with ADHD, but they’re not the whole story and they can also appear in anxiety, trauma, depression, or just in certain personality styles or life stages. ADHD is primarily about differences in how attention, motivation, and executive functions (planning, organising, regulating focus) work. Emotional reactivity can be part of that, but it’s not the core feature.

It’s a bit like saying “someone who gets tired easily has diabetes” ...tiredness might be present, but it’s not what defines the condition.

So while the comment probably came from a genuine place, it oversimplifies something that’s actually quite nuanced and it can make people who really struggle with ADHD feel misunderstood...like me.

He wasn't worth the money he was on. Sadly he went backwards & his kicking was terrible.

I mean lets go back to that stkilda game where he couldn't even nail a behind.

Sorry wrong thread

We couldn’t have done more to help Clarry and personally i’m happy we tried everything.

It’s easy to say we should have done this 2 years ago. But he is one of our all time greats and deserved the chance to change his ways.

We will get virtually nothing for him but we need him off our books

Join the club. I'm hurt at the way this club [censored] away the best chance at sustained success in my lifetime, in part due to the culture and immaturity/lack of professionalism exhibited by guys like Oliver.

Pies is not a good fit for clarry in terms of pressure and expectation

better to head to GWS and rebuild his career away from the limelight

Care factor zero. Except if we get a better deal. Ie less salary paid.

As a father and partner of ADHDers - thank you

Ah yeah this... Club IS A DISGRACE. King, Guerra, Green, A LOT TO ANSWER FOR!! but the biggest disgrace is the supporter base out there that are Bagging the second best player since FLOWER . Demonland should shut up shop given the comments of many who have ZERO appreciation of his issues which lets face it folks ... we all have! I almost hope he goes to Pies just to prove many here and Demon Hierarchy wrong.

Just pitiful really and I'll say it now.. KING and Co have lost me already GGF! TRAGIC

What about the behaviour of Oliver, sweep it under the rug as "everyone has issues" all you want but he has taken advantage of and spat in the face of everyone who has put their trust and support in him starting with Gawn and all the way down to the supporters. He needs to accept responsibility for the path that has led here, this isn't something that just happened because King doesn't like mids that can't kick.

Yeah maybe the club (incl Goodwin and the Board) has been culpable in letting this culture fester but the new mob are cleaning the slate and can you blame them? Bottom line is this situation was not good for anyone and wouldn't have led to future success so it's time to cut bait, best for both parties.

you asked when will we get it right and i pointed out very recent success.

I find the negativity draining. We have a great chance to rebound in the next couple of years.

What would you prefer we do?

I think drastic change is needed and back King 100%

Who do you think knew of the meeting at the Club first? Tom Morris or Clayton Oliver? Who leaked the story? Why did he swear and go off at Cleary? Why was he snapped at pokies in the Camberwell at all hours of the morning? Why did Gawn have to have him move in? Why was he down the highway last year sniffing around.

Clarry, as much as I love him, is a troubled young man. Geelong would have given the same value as what we will likely get from GWS...they had nothing last year.. redundant to look back...

At the end of the day, the bloke is now showing the immaturity that the club has put up with for 3 years. He was given some home truths and rather accepting a chllenge he has thrown his toys out of the cot. We may have to take some steps backwards, but this is best long term.

The toxic culture the media banged on about for years was developed by guys like May, Clarry and last year Petracca [censored] on us all as well. No coincidence that King and the Club have suggested they go have a look around. We want committed players.

Best of luck Clarry. We will miss you but it's best for all in the end.

What odds can I get for Clarry 40+ disposals vs Melbourne next year?

Still love Clarry, he’s clearly annoyed at what’s happened, a reporter shoving a microphone in his face isn’t helping.

This is like a bad break up and we are all the friends who have to pick the side we knew first - even though we love both 💔

Who cares? 20 of the disposals will go to Melbourne players anyway…

I don't blame the bloke. Toxic workplaces lick [censored] and balls.

I wish my workplace was so toxic as to pay me over a mill a year to kick a footy and act like a child.

Toxic workplace give me a spell. We may be a rabble but he's had too long leash his whole career and as soon as a new regime enters that actually demands a modicum of professionalism, he throws the toys out of the cot and pots the club on the way out.

Good riddance to the spoiled little [censored] I say.

Girl Why Dont We Have Both GIF

He’s a gun, all-time great of the club but it’s also pretty clear that he’s a pea-brain and it’s time to get him gone.

Still remember half time in the Blues final, team ran out to the Southern Stand side of the square, turned and ran back to the members wing. Claz stayed on the outer side staring up at the stand until Gawn went and got him. Did some good things that night but he was a space cadet. Would pay good money for a tell-all book on the Dees 2022-2024. Gawny’s book on the 2021 year was pretty dull.

Yeah….especially when you’re such a clean nosed, exemplary employee like Clarry….

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
