Just saw Clarry on 7 News touring the GWS facilities was asked about meeting with Collingwood soon & what he likes about them, he said They’re better than Melbourne’

He can [censored] off as far as I’m concerned, everything we’ve done for him!!

He’s just an ignorant ungrateful immature joke now & will fit in well with Collingwood

I think it’s funny - doesn’t do us any favors at the trade period though. No one would be thinking “must be a great place, I’ll nominate them”.

Possibly has just diminished our trade return (if anything much anyway) from those comments. We can kiss goodbye to Humphrey now too. We are bottoming out

The AFL industry would know what Clarry’s issues are. It may make GWS or Colonwood think twice.

I’m thinking the opposite, we’re changing for the better.

All pretty sad, really, the way this has ended. The pressure is really on Guerra and King now.

The level disrespect this exhibits towards Max Gawn is appalling. Dragged the club and him through hell and this is his response.

Immature. Petulant. A disgrace.

He ain't no word smith old Clarry....

If what is reported is correct he destabilised the group when we had the best list I've every seen in my life.. and wrecked our chance at a flag on the G, il back the club in making the right decisions moving hom on...

Does anyone know if Tracc being at MFC or not has anything to do with Clayton?? Could it be we will hold onto cp5 once a deal is done with GWS

Whilst we all know that Clarry isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, it kind of debunks the notion that the meeting with King was a cordial affair. It's clear that Clarry has been driven out of the club.

Now it's a matter of how badly we get screwed on the trade.

Lol at people being shocked with Oliver's immaturity levels.

So immature…

I hope he goes to the pies and gets thrown to the wolves there. They will be cellar dwellers in 2 years time.

And people were wondering why he’s been asked to leave, this is why we couldn’t have good culture

Why’s that, because he’s disrespected the club that did everything for him

He’s a loose cannon no wonder we want him out

Yes. Clayton Oliver is without a doubt a Melbourne legend.

CLARRY: “Am I really that bad for club culture? No, it the MFC who are wrong.”

Clayton Oliver, as a premiership winning, 4 times B&F winner, twice Coaches Association MVP and 3 times All Australian, is most definitely a Melbourne legend. Denying that is stupidity.

That's not to say that moving him on is the wrong thing, nor that he has not been a negative influence on the club for the past few years.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.
