we’ e got a stack of people leaving and no one in the door yet!

Update Mr Wells - there was some talk here about someone very high up in the coaching hierarchy being appointed, in case you missed something.

Something about a king - maybe you could be the court jester

Sorry... who ?

I wonder if the work experience kid running our social media made an error sending out the tweet which disabled comments on the post or perhaps they were worried a few Melb supporters would have gone to town with "good riddance" on the comments...

He was nothing but a hound dog!!

So the guy looking after our Defence.... has gone ...

🤔🤔

👍👍👍👍👍👍

Farewell Nathan. I have no idea what you have done for the club because all our media team got out there was your introduction video but I'm sure your intentions were great and thankyou for returning to this great club.

Bassett (defence), Williams (development), Radford (midfield) and potentially Chaplin (forwards) all gone/going and a new strategy boss role being made.

Nathan Jones, Allan Richardson seem to be the last ones standing?

I hope King has a lot of mates.

We gave up our most points against in a season since 2015 so I won’t exactly be crying myself to sleep over this particular departure.

Richmond have come for Chaplin. They're his old club. Wouldn't be surprised if he moves after so long at the Dees. Watch this space.

If your King you want to hold onto one of the coaches, Chaplin knows a lot about the players and this will be invaluable to King.

So what is Scarlett doing at the moment? Wasnt he part of the Sack Scott faction that lost?

Possibly LT but Chappy was adamant that he was staying at the club, looked like come hell or high water to me.

Who declares they will leave with a payout to be agreed

Wouldn't be touching him.

I should hope not.

BTW - what makes people so sure King will have carte blanche to bring in his mates. I doubt this very much.

The coaching landscape is pretty grim these days. Rumors were we were struggling to find anyone last year when we brought in Basset and Jones.

I'm more hoping that he does have mates rather than expecting him to at this stage.

Yes exactly. We need to bring in competent professionals not mates.

King was asked in his presser about bringing a 'team' or words to that affect. He said he wanted to be awarded the job based on his own merits, and implied he'd work with the existing assistants. That was my read.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
