GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood

can;t defend for 12 seconds

We are the worst team in history when it comes to under 30 seconds and losing a center clearance

Fwd line actually looks very dangerous given pies 13 i50s to our 8.

Mids need to get cracking.

I know we got the goal but why is Maynard allowed to dance around the mark and not stand?

And5 seconds in the clock we allow a shot on goal. Leadership personified

Only we could have max winning a centre bounce tap with 12 sec to go leading to an oppo mark in their fwd 50

we’re getting slaughtered. our kicking skills are truly lamentable.

Langford, petty & salem have started well.

And max is of course max. I wish we had 3 of him out there

What is this? The dees with a late goal rather than conceding one. Well I never...

Haha, Deetime was incredibly close then.

We seem to be playing with a bit more freedom tonight (but not skill).

It is better to watch us take the game on.

Forwards are sticking marks too which is great to see

As soon as I saw your comment I was like ‘Welp, here comes a goal’, haha

Forward line made the most of their opportunities, but we had 3 opportunities going forward where our kicking missed a leading forward by 20 metres.

That has to be a priority moving forward.

Langdon sparrow chandler and Fritsch need to get involved. Spectators at this point

pies inaccuracy keeping us in it.

Either May is injured or he’s finished. Hard to watch one of our champions play at this level

Schultz legit ran off the mark.

The obverse of the usual.

Pies attempting to win via inside 50 count, where have I seen that before. Maybe our counter punch game will pay off tonight.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
