No Gameday Thread?

Has everyone given up 😳

Maybe it is because a prime time Friday game is so rare ... after she double checks today is Friday ...

Come on DL'ers support the team one last time for the year!

The club have given up looking at the selection this week, zero changes after last week's display

Yayyy ... go us... yayyy

Is it over yet

I suspect most of us are at or getting ready for work atm.

Hopefully the boys are too. Finish the season off on a high by beating the filth

Excited Come On GIF by US Open

I have zero interest in this game right now, maybe 3% by the time the game starts, but I'll spin vinyl and have a couple of quiet drinks. Might put it on the ipad in the back ground.

Just don't get reported Kozzie, please!

Costing Collingwood the double chance would be a rare win in an otherwise terrible season.

All we will do to collingwood is make their supporters happy and run them into form.

We could really mess with Collingwood's season. Payback for 2023 and 2017. But we just aren't that sort of club. It ain't happening.

Pies will put on a clinic and win easily.

I would love to see some spirit and fight but highly doubt I will. The team has checked out as was clear to see against the hawks last week. No self respect.

Pathetic year from our so called leaders with the honourable exception of maxy

I’m sorry but I’m not at all enamoured with this team at the moment. Thankfully we have a great women’s team who display the fighting qualities I want to see in those wearing the red and blue.

If only the Hansons were on our list 😉

Where's Wheels Biffo and Balls when you need them 😆

We have mentally checked out for this year. The players at least,

A chance to show the new coach is good we an be? But little confidence it’s will happen.

But I will watch the box and cheer every goal. Go Dee’s

Agreed. He’s done so well not to get rubbed out this year. Would cap off a dresdful season if he were to miss the first 2-4 games once again.

I’ll call tonight a win if we stays out of the umpires notebook and the Pies have a very modest win costing them top 4.

Live pic of me getting the mental energy up to do this one more time

I want no injuries and no reports. Looking at you Kosi.

I'll raise a glass or 6 tonight to commemorate the season that was

Im wondering ... did we ever really check in 🤔🤔🤔

On a more poignant note I hope those that play tonight have some sense of occasion.

My wish is that there would be some who would do well at siren's final sound to cast their eyes around the stadium and soak it in. This is the last time THIS team will take the field. It is the last time some will ever take this field (possibly ) , certainly the last time for some in red and blue.

2026 will be ( possibly ) a very different Team. ( on and off )

I wish all well.

Go Dees

Just thinking the same thing.

All the talk of revenge since that night in 2023. Didn't happen that night and we've lost the the three times we played them after that.

We have the perfect opportunity to hurt them without having to belt the brick with eyes and lose someone for six weeks.

Selection suggests we're not interested in running it out on a high and giving the opportunity for some youngsters from Casey a chance in front of a big crowd.

No changes at selection sums up the season.

Hope I'm pleasantly surprised and we beat the bastards by a point

If the Hawks win and the pies win by less than ~25, Hawks will jump them in %

Surely we can make that happen?

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
