We learned this lesson in 2008-2013 didn’t we? No one develops when everyone is ‘developing’

God I hate being a Melbourne supporter sometimes

Each to their own. I definitely don’t want us being crazy young but I also think JVR is of an age where he should be starting to be the number one forward and we already have a couple of older experienced forwards on the list. Then for me hopefully one of LK or Jeffo can be the second big forward.

Mate, that was the last two years after Ben Brown left.

JVR can barely carry himself, don’t make him continue to carry a Jefferson or Kentfield.

Yep agree the last two years we have lacked another forward. JVR turns 23 early next season and he should be coming into his prime and if we are going to be any good it will be on the back of players around his age taking big steps forward. Hopefully Max Heath might also contribute some handy time up forward.

Anyway we see things differently on this and that’s all good.

Um, happy to have him... ah speaks reasonably well!

My mum's favorite player at Collingwood. She's a Collingwood supporter and said she'd barrack for Brisbane now Mihochek has gone. LOVE IT MADE MY DAY.

Need a best 22 mums

Upgrade on Harold Labumba.

His injury was a freak broken middle toe so fingers crossed his body isn’t too banged up where it matters in the soft tissue.

I am excited I have to say.

FF Heath Melksham Fritsch

HFF Chandler Mihocek Henderson

B Tholstrup TALL PLAYER X

I can see Laurie getting some time if Tholstrup goes into the middle. McAdam maybe but injuries.

I know the above doesn’t look great but players would be in their roles that they can execute. With 4 proven AFL role players in their best positions.

For the tall player x my order would be: JVR, Johnson, Kentfield, Yze, Jefferson

Just when I question whether you’re still my favourite DL poster, you go and do something like this.

Really that is the most bizare prediction of a future forward line I have seen for a Club that would be going nowhere.

It’s a look like Werridee on steroids would include once a new player came into the Club.

Trying to justify being all players are in their correct roles so that is a valid line up is almost sickening.

Then adding B ???? With Kolt and Lindsay and a tall player is even more crazy.

A mix of from JVR Mihocek Heath Kentfield Fritta Langford Kossie McAdam Mentha Jnr and Chin plus Jeffo if he develops would cause the opposition to start really worrying.

I don’t really care what “their best position or role” is just the mix makes it exciting to contemplate.

Naturally the connectivity with the mids and defenders would have to improve for the team to benefit from greater scoring potential. Accuracy as well.

I'll let Bill's aunt know.. she'll be excited

Collingwood just traded our f3 for our current 3 that was at Brisbane for the stupid sharp trade.

We’ve effectively given Collingwood 45 to hold on to 42.

They’ll now trade it for Jack Buller who will no doubt go on to do more for them than Mihocek for us.

A Lamb curry Masterclass.

I'm not Buckley's biggest fan but I heard this interview a few weeks back - at the end he talks about Brody. He mentions him playing through injury and being banged up this year and then said:

"...If I was coaching Melbourne or at another organisation and Checkers was available.. I'd get him over... definitely... just cause of his character, the way he goes about it, the way he trains, his attitude, his selflessness... I know he's a great team man... whoever he goes to will get great benefit from him - both on and off the field"

And also this:

"Brody Mihocek is "one of the toughest blokes I've seen play the game", says Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley"
https://www.theadvocate.com.au/story/6880465/brody-mihocek-is-one-of-the-toughest-blokes-ive-seen-play-the-game-says-nathan-buckley/

Brody is a perfect fit for our young key forward group! If he imparts all of that on to them - look out!

This bloke is all in, love him. But I think we can do something with his nickname.

Yes, at the Pies his nickname was Checkers. But of course we have a famous one of them already.

Now that he's moved from the deadsh!ts to the Dees, how about we rename him Chess! Or 3D, or even 4D.
