I think the players Association needs to come out and say our players now can’t play the game, as any collision and injury is a suspension, unless you are a Collingwood player of course.

If you watch the replay May’s left leg is in mid air when the Carlton player gets the ball. When contact occurs his left leg is grounded but the right leg is still mid air - I defy anyone to be able to “slowdown” in the one stride…. the tribunal finding is an absolute joke. We must appeal.

It’s hard to watch this farce week after week.

The AFL is beyond inconsistent, it’s a bloody disgrace. Three hours of dissecting a moment of honest play, and somehow they come up with a 3 week ban. But if the jumper is the right colour, it’s a fine or nothing at all.

It’s not just incompetence it reeks of favouritism. And it’s pushing real supporters away.

I don't agree with 3 weeks, I would've accepted 2 weeks as a football act that had an unfortunate result. But it's moments like this that make you infuriated with others *cough Maynard* getting off. If May doesn't contest the ball he gets labelled soft and a squib by the media and fans, as well as getting a stern word from the coaches. He had to contest it, he had eyes only for the ball, he was a fraction late.

I'm taking the positive from this though, we need to start planning for life after May and this HAS to be the moment the coaches return Petty to his rightful spot in defence.

As disappointed as this decision is and how it defies logic, I / we expected no less from the AFL joke of a system. They asked for 3 weeks and no matter what the argument and acknowledging that it wasn’t a bump Steven May still got his 3 weeks. Where is the Justice……..!!!

That’s me done won’t be renewing my membership after this year the AFL is so clearly corrupt it’s just sad now, you just know a Collingwood player will do the same thing next week and won’t be cited, unfortunately the love I have for the MFC just no longer trumps the hatred I have for the game
