Sent straight to the Tribunal.

Given his concussion history maybe he should miss 2 games anyway.

I really disagree with it, had eyes for the ball, didn’t jump, lift his shoulder or elbow, and was going for the ball. It’s not ideal but both going for the ball. That’s a football accident.

I posted this in the MRO thread but more relevant here.

'The still photo showing May's shoulder into Evans is the result of May being 11 cm taller than Evans so unfortunately any contact was never going to end well for Evans.

The height difference and both players going for the ball means the contact was Accidental not Careless so the charge should be dismissed. May has oft offended but he doesn't deserve to go for that.

To have any hope of having the charge thrown out we must NOT use Adrian Anderson'.

Just let May rest for the remainder of the year regardless of the number of weeks he gets.

Put in new blood and see what happens and yes I know Goodwin will not do this but it’s the perfect opportunity.

BTW it was a football act but given the automatic penalty given to our players cause they play for MFC it will be 3 weeks.

I have been a demon footy tragic since Dicko was starring on the wing (RIP).

Stupid, crazy and misguided tribunal decisions that affect Dees such as this week's May incident and the brutish manner in which Angus's career was stopped have caused me to lose much of my interest and affection for the great game (but never for the dees).

Talk about adding a Tassie team after adding the northern teams this century might just tip me over the edge. How much garbage can a footy tragic withstand?

I want May to play on to play the Pies in rnd 23.

But if Gleeson chairs the Tribunal he will up the penalty from the minimum 3 weeks to 4 so that May can't play that game. The way their season is going top 2 spot or even top 4 may rest on that final game against us.

And we know how Gleeeson takes a hard line on Dees cases to help the Pies: Maynard/Brayshaw, Kozzie/Moore. So wouldn't be surprised if Maynard gets 4 weeks.

It's not a level playing field

There are 5 rounds left and we play Pies in the last, so in your premise May gets 5.

Arithmetic was never my strong point 😁

I wouldn't put anything past Gleeson!

May never gets the benefit of the doubt!

straight to the tribunal is as it should be; either he'll cop 3-5 or he'll get off

i think the latter is the 'correct' result but can definitely see a big suspension to push him into 2026 as just as likely an outcome

So long as we dont use that useless Adrian Anderson for our defence I;ll be happy

Someone should speak to Paul Guerra about our choice of counsel.....

I’ve never understood why they use counsel for a non-legal matter.

Wondering if anyone knows why it’s done that way?

Jobs for the boys.

If I see Adrian Anderson representing us I will lose my goddamn mind.

@Redleg I know you know someone better you can send to the club to do the job!

Maysie’s next game will be his 250th. Who knows when that’ll be ☹️

If that was petracca he would’ve got nothing. Free kick for high (incidental) but thats it. Carry on.

The adjudicating of this game is really messing with my love for it.

Last round against the Pies where we win by a point and they lose the right to a home final

You Can Do It Dreaming GIF by Sealed With A GIF

So Maysie might as well stay in his seat at the tribunal for when Tom De Koning gets called up to answer for the careless high contact that left Steve with concussion.

Guerra or smith very very very privately need to raise this and if no change need to very very very very publicly raise it

He’ll have the support of every supporter and club president who is not Collingwood

The final bounce of the ball before the collision was straight up and this meant Evan’s got there first. May obviously was expecting contact but a different bounce would have meant May was there first.

Its so ridiculous. 9 times out of 10 he doesnt break his face and May doesnt get cited for anything because it was an accident. So its based on outcome.

Meanwhile had May got seriously injured by a knee to the temple (which can actually kill you) , the AFL would say thats an accident. Either the outcome matters or it doesnt. Any contact to the head if the player gets concussed should be a suspension and tdk should be looking at a 3 week penalty also.

Just as you can still bunp but lbe punished if it goes bad, you can take a specky but still get suspended if the player you're kneeing in the head gets concussed. Basic logic.

DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT MONGREL MOORE PUT HIS KNEES IN AGAIN IN THE DYING MINUTES VS FREO. HABITUAL OFFENDER SCUM!

Tribunal means 3 weeks minimum

I think he should get zero as he was contested the ball

6 weeks it is!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
