How'd it be to be a Suns supporter? Club getting flogged. Never mind, we've got three players in the Academy who are ranked as top 10.

Any idea what that free was for? I was expecting a free and 50m for the late unnecessary shove into the fence.

I believe it was called for insufficient intent, as he paddled it over the boundary

Far out I loved that

Maynard made 3 critical errors

Umpires having the courage to call critical free kicks

Moore’s knee in the back costing them the game

The crowd losing it

Pies with 23 more inside 50’s

😂😂😂😂😂

And they led by 22 points in the last quarter at the G and STILL LOST.

CLASSIC.

It was just luck that Moore didn’t rupture that guy’s spleen .

I was hoping Freo would kick a high one to Moore in “ the hole”, and Treacy would rush in with his knee in the back , the way he did twice to Gawn in the pre-season game. Or perhaps Brayshaw would do a “ football act “ spoil on skunkhead Maynard , ending his career.

Neither happened, but at least they lost.

No need to get nasty.

I’m entitled to call it how I see it same as you just have.

Interesting to hear Serong say they knew they’d be fitter than Collingwood.

Sorry hbt but he didn’t say that he said something like we know we are fit based on all the work they have done preseason and that they could run out games.

Yup. Hope Petracca was watching the final mark at the end with Darcy jumping into him with both knees. They're not your mates, you naive boy.

Jacko and Nibbler both killing it today. Hoping we can start nailing trades again for an instant hit

LJ looked so good. Having him as a rover off Darcy worked well

Would be a massive get

Ultimate contradiction in terms.

Non-MFC threads should be officially renamed Paranoid Umpire-AFL Collusion Echo Chambers. Because let’s be real — every Thursday night game involving two completely unrelated clubs somehow becomes undeniable proof that the league, the umpires, the fixture computer, and Gil’s ghost are working in tandem to destroy the Melbourne Football Club.

A Filth defender breathes near a forward? “Paid every day of the week – except when it’s us.” A GWS midfielder gets a soft 50? “Corrupt. Scripted. Dil’s long con to grow the game in Parramatta.” It’s pathetic, really. The lengths we go to in connecting phantom dots would make a flat-earther forum look grounded. It’s not a conversation, it’s a group therapy session for those traumatised by a holding-the-ball call in 2018.

Or our forward line.

What's the average number of trips per game, not picked up. Would it be ten or twenty? Anyone know?

Now that we allow pushing and pushing into head contact, holding the ball while pirouetting, pushing players into the fence while outside the boundary, I reckon it's all good with that result.

For me? Depending on the opponent and the materials available - up to a dozen.

Just watched the last qtr of the Freo win. I can't believe Maynard intentionally shoved Reid into the bench and no one at Fox mentioned it.

Also, loved the post-match interview with Serong and how he mentioned all the confidence he has in his team's fitness. Reminds me of us in 2021. A far cry from our deplorable fitness program in 2025.

@Demonland Three things

  1. Pies filth claim the umps killed them and that “the ump decides a MASSIVELY important game by paying a dubious free kick to Bolton”. FFS

  2. Where’s the media comments on Darcy Moore knees into Treacy. That’s rough conduct. That’s a fine or a one week suspension

  3. Where’s the media comments about Maynard pushing Reid into the bench after crossing the boundary line

Watch Cox sometime when your not busy, maggots. You might be surprised. If you, or any opposition player are within a metre and a half of him in a play on situation you will probably have been kicked, pulled or pushed.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
