Screwed over on Oliver deal, but to be honest. Oliver made his bed and caused too many issues for the club. King needs clear air to work in.

We will have had 2 first rounders last year, 2 this year and now 2 next year. I know some talent has gone out. But that not bad for a rebuild on the run

I like that we've actually addressed some key needs that we've been lacking of late.

We've gained some key forward scoring power in Mihocek, ruck depth in Heath and speed across half back in Jiath. Not to mention some midfield grunt/leadership in Steele while the likes of Langford and Tholstrup are still developing.

Plus we have four first round selections to play with over the next two season.

I'm still not sure if we're finals bound in 2026 but I think we've set ourselves up nicely for the years to come.

Hoping we get a small forward as we desperately need one

It’s not on the run anymore. It’s full blown. GWS have been cheating since day one with scully’s old man. Got us with him, Bedford and now clarry. Can we pick one of their most promising off? I’m going to hate watching clarry run around dominating not for us

Trade week is done and dusted still not overly happy with Lamb I think he's too soft. 3 average picks for a star doesn't seem right. If we got Humphrey I would have been happy. Oliver is damaged goods, he was a champion but he's tarnished his rep the last 2 years. I think we should delist McAdam then put him on the rookie list. No room for Woewodin with May staying.

Mihocek is a star but is he too old? He'll at the very least teach the young kids to play the right way. Heath is an unknown only played 4 games. Jiath could be a good pick up but he sounds like a bit too much like Hunt and we got rid of him for a reason. Steele could also be a good recruit but like Clarry his last 2 years have been ordinary, but before that he was a star easily St.Kilda's best player back then, he adds leadership something Clarry never had.

IC: Heath, White, Berry (b)

Yes, got rid of 2 champions, albeit not at there best.

Brought in 3 ok players and 3 1st round picks.

Both ticks in my opinion.

Ill back our drafting over trade anytime .

Very happy with the results . You could fill the previous forums with the criticism of Clarry ..Trac..Goodwin etc . Now we have a new coach …got rid of 2 former greats but not so great now players & bought in a whole raft of players that I am so excited to see what they bring. I’m saving any criticism till we!re well into next season. We got change in a huge way so put aside the negativity & let’s see what 2026 brings ..Go Dees

Overall I think Lamb did a great job…! 👏🏻

If Dees did land Bailey we wouldn’t have Pick 7, 8 or GC 1st 2026. And we wouldn’t have our own 2026 1st because GC would have it…

In hindsight and after listening to Lamb’s press conference post trading, I think it was a big risk to have too many chips in for Bailey when Tassie is coming in. Lamb, Taylor & the board have the big picture and future in mind. This is best to support King in his coaching towards fast tracking success.

The key is to develop our list correctly. I think this has been our down fall as a club.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼Pick 7 or 8 is Josh Lindsay…

I don't think Hardie will be with us next year and the 23rd man has to be under 21. The Casey players I'd have in the team are Bonner and Yze. We will have pick 37 as well doubt Smith would get a game if we were fully fit.

Edited by WERRIDEE

if we look at the actual picks in and out with the players in and out it looks something like this. (Not positions)

Steele for petracca

CJ for spargo

Miochek for clarry

Max heath for McVee

Pick 7, 8 and 37 for being ship in 2025

GC 2026 1st round making up somewhat for huge losses on all the players

Look I get it. We can’t be at the bottom when tassie come in. Had to make moves now and it’s unfortunate that it’s not on the back of another 2 flags with the list we had. Break ups hurt when ur in love. That’s how I’m feeling. Very sad.

Anyway my brain going through it again knows that being down the bottom has helped us get the picks we have had to bring in 4 first rounders the last 2 years - members of the next MFC premiership team we all hope.

The rebuild is being fast tracked and the emotion in the reality sucks but long term it will be better for us. Just not the clarry one. We got rolled there and that pisses me off. He will dominate next year and we will be the laughing stock.

So it’s essentially Mcvee our for Jiath in. Not sure if I would say one is much better than the other at this stage.

Tracc out for 3 first rounders. If it’s 7&8 and maybe 10-12ish next year, that’s good compensation.

Oliver out for Steele in. I’d have taken this at the start of the period for sure. At least it’s not Oliver out for nothing.

Heath in and Mihocek in.

Pretty good result I’d say. Could have been a LOT worse.

As an aside, Brisbane had like 7-9 injuries from their starting 22 and they still won the flag. That’s a deep, deep list. Hopefully we’re looking at some of those players for next years trade period.

B: May, Petty, AMW

HB: Lindsay, Turner, Bowey

C: Windsor, Viney, Langford

HF: Chandler, van Rooyen, Culley

F: Fritsch, Mihocek, Melksham

FOLL: Gawn, Rivers, Pickett

IC: Tholstrup, Langdon, Steele, Lever, Jiath

EMERG: Howes, McDonald, Salem, Sparrow

DEPTH / ROTATIONS / GIVE A SHOT: AJ, Sharp, Jeffo, Kentfield, Pick 7, Pick 8, Heath, Adams, Tom Cambpell

LEAVE AT CASEY UNTIL BANGING DOOR DOWN FOR SELECTION: Mentha, McAdam, Hendo, Sinnema, White Jnr

NEVER AGAIN: Laurie

Its actually not that bad a blend of youth and experience. I really hope we start to see the Duke, Bison and XL shine- show so real promise. Now with Claz and Trac gone, i think we will start to notice a lot more balance and poise with our midfield.

But if you say it’s Steele for Oliver, I looks much better, haha.

So which one is it?

Screwed over? Or pragmatic trading?

I’d be playing May at Casey based on his end of season form

I was quick to criticise lamb but overall I think he did a pretty good job - 8/10 for the trade period

Petty? I reckon he’ll play back.

So 2 of our premiership players have been traded to the clubs that will battle it out for the expansion cup.

Surely we'll get gold coast & gws twice

This is the top 23 plus Casey 23 including Casey players

As previously mentioned. This guy doesn't know what he is doing.

Spare a thought for the 80% of us that didn't attack nor praise Lamb during the trade period but let him get on with his damn job.

Those who want to use Lamb as a reason to attack people here just pull your head out of your rear ends and shut up.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
