Every time we get momentum the umps find one or two for the Pies. More corrupt than FIFA.

The upside is we won the last quarter and our goal to behind ratio was much improved.

After last week's debacle it was a decent comeback against the in form ladder leader

Umps helped out to get it done. We need to be better kicking i50 and shots on goal. Super disappointed, but the boys took it up to them.

Could we please beat this mob before I exit this existence please 🙏

Truly gutted. We obviously have what it takes to beat the best.

The pieces are there, but our i50 entries and conversion remain terrible.

Sick of losing these close ones - and x a million to the Pies!!!!

Really proud of the game our players played. Massive effort. Our first half missed chances come back to haunt us again.

Lots of pressured mistakes from both teams. A couple of late brain fades from Max didn't help but we gave it a red hot go.

Josh Daicos is a gun, and is also humble and decent. His brother is an amazing player at best but is also an entitled, soft, lippy, golden child who the umpires favour.

I'll give respect to the effort. It was there. Why can't we sustaint this on a consistent level?

Petracca and Oliver cost us by having no composure or awareness in that last quarter.

These guys are our bloody so called leaders. Compared to Collingwoods more senior players who stood up in the moment.

Once again, respect the effort, but i [censored] these so called honourable losses.

I only watch Pies games if we are playing. The corruption in favour of Collingwood is disgusting.

Had our opportunities but blew it late with poor disposal of course.
Happy we made a game of it though.

We shot ourselves in foot look at the difference there best remain calm our panic and blaze. Alway happen. Umpiring terrible and May spray shocking.

I’m with you. I can’t stand this bias towards the leagues love children. It’s nauseating.

And Daicos you are a soft [censored]. Should be ashamed of your carry on like you’re a ballerina.

FUUUUUUUUCK

To b fair, ballerinas get on with it through all kinds of pain and injury without so much as a sharp intake of breath.

I'm even more angry with the other games we don't bring effort Norf, Ess, St.K.

Season over bring Jeffo in.

Sick of the shy te!

I might add my Collingwood husband just asked what’s for dinner. I gave him the death stare and said ‘get it yourself’

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
