Looks like Jeffo will get his chance curtesy of AJ

Maybe Tommy Mc?

Multiple frees at that centre bounces not paid

Rivers that was pathetic. Bend down and pick it up

Max misses again and it seems to be the same every time, the ball starts on track, then fads late to the left. Surely that technique problem is fixable?

Max has kicked 2.10

it’s got to the point where he needs to pass or handball it off

I dont look anywhere near that good!!

Max love him.

But his goal kicking for a professional footballer is ORDINARY.

Best coaches in the land and he kicks like an u10s child.

Why does Max walk backwards without looking to give off to somebody or HB to a player coming from behind.

YOU JUST HAVE TO [censored] SET PLAY THAT EVERY TIME BECAUSE AS WE ALL KNOW....MAX CAN'T BLOODY KICK A GOAL!

Wake up Melbourne FFS

I reckon he thinks he's gotta kick the captains goal (which he does) but most time just can't.

Last time i looked, when you get tackled and swung around and drop the ball it's incorrect disposal!

4.8 plays 8.4, why oh why do we bother

He just doesn't even look at the goals for more than three seconds. Its strange. Like he's resigned to miss it.

And another soft goal

Of late he'd be lucky to be kicking at about 25% accuracy. Probably worse. No point taking the kick!

Windsor is absolutely lost. He’s not a defender.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
