Kozzie to come back via the 2’s.

We don’t want to upset the chemistry of our forward line which is humming at the moment.

Out: this absurb game plan of fast movement, handball chains and corridor with cringe worthy skills. Humiliation. Delusion that we can play this way.

In: contest defence, playing to the strengths of the playing list. winning by boredom. 4 points. respect.

Not going to happen so look away now.

Pickett straight back. Turner gets rewarded. Windsor only if he’s 100% fit - don’t rush him back, as tempting as it would be. Lever will come back.

Lindsay out injured. One of Petty and TMac has to be dropped for Lever (I can’t stand TMac’s clangers but Petty isn’t in form either). I’d drop Fritsch to wake him up but I’m not expecting that to ever happen.

Pickett helps heaps but ultimately if we continue to be massacred at stoppage, we will continue to lose by 60+ points.

Whatever we do I will 100% not be watching. Not up for voluntary torture…

Melksham, Howes, AJ and Billing’s should never play again. Clarrie and Fritsch on notice. Viney and TMac should retire

Time for Bill Laurie to get a sustained run in the firsts.

Lever May Salem

Rivers Petty Bowey

Windsor. Viney. Langdon

Sharp. Turner. Petracca

Fritsch. JVR. Pickett

Gawn. Oliver. Langdon

Tmac. Sparrow Chandler Johnson

Sub. Melksham

Ironically I think this game may be our best chance for a win. We can't cope with speed through the midfield or out of the opposition backs!!!!

Lever and Kozzie raise the talent floor.

May gets a poor rusty game out of his system and plays better.

Hopefully Windsor is ready.

Who knows...

Out: T-Mac, Fritsch, Lindsay (knee), Billings

In: Pickett, Windsor, Turner, Lever

FB: Bowey May Lever

HB: Windsor Petty Salem

C: Langdon Langford Howes

HF: Chandler Turner Sparrow

FF: Pickett JvR Henderson

R: Gawn Oliver Petracca

I: Rivers Johnson Viney Sharp

S: Melksham

Could have dropped so many more but we've never been one for mass changes, though I don't think that would help where we are at regardless.

I'd like to see Howes play a mix of wing and half forward where he impressed as a junior. Not cutting it as a defender.

Viney has struggled with decision making and skills massively to start the year but they're not going to replace him with Laurie who is our only back up mid at this stage, though did play well at Casey today.

Fritsch needs to get his confidence up at Casey, can't keep carrying him in the team though his intent at the contest was better today.

T-mac unlucky but goody I would imagine wants his ideal 3-tall defenders together in May, Lever and Petty.

pickett will definitely be in, turner probably should be, fullarton a chance

will lever or windsor be fit?

lindsay will be out, and the likes of howes, mcdonald, fritsch, billings, sparrow, and quite frankly petracca who was appalling again today should be first in line to be dropped too

Out: Howes, Lindsay, AJ, JVR

In: Windsor, Pickett, Disco, Lever

One last chance for Oliver and Fritsch

FB: T MC May Rivers

HB: Bowey Lever Salem

C: Langdon Tracc Billings

HF: Viney Petty Pickett

FF: Fritsch Turner Chandler

Foll: Gawn Oliver Langford

Int: Windsor, Henderson, Sharp, Melk

S: Sparrow

Laurie in, Sparrow down back if Windsor isn’t ready

Going by Goody's presser Pickett, Lever, Windsor and likely Spargo will be available,

In Pickett, Lever, Windsor, Turner, Laurie

Out: Billings, AJ, Howes, Fritsch, LIndsay

If Howes doesn’t get dropped the club isn’t serious. Play him whatever position you like just make sure it’s at Casey.

You can’t concede 2 goals from throwing the ball because you’re afraid to get tackled and stay in the team.

Honestly, the most embarrassing display I’ve ever seen from a Melbourne player.

Where is McVee? Been out for a long time, suspect he has re done his hamstring.

It was a bad hammy. He was interviewed pre game and is due back in 2-3 weeks.

FRITSCH ON NOTICE???? SERIOUSLY Should have been dropped after round 1 pathetic!

If Viney can’t be dropped, plonk him in a forward pocket.

Turner for Fritz.

Howes out. Lever in.

Windsor in, Billing’s out.

JVR and AJ can’t be in the same team.

We just need players with heart, fight and fitness.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
