Bit of a waste of time and money from North going with that defence.

Yeah 10 grand wasted outa the soft cap, deserved what he got and I reckon 4 weeks more to the incident, so got of lightly!

At the rate North are forking out money for failed tribunal appeals they’ll have to play a third home game in WA.

In view of what could have been viewed beforehand, similar contact instances, I totally agree.

I get this impression that North Melbourne's (and probably ours as well to be fair) QC/lawyer is Lionel Hutz, while Carlton's and Collingwood's is Mr Burns's massive crack team of lawyers.

MRO has sent May sent straight to the Tribunal. Contact rated Careless, High, Severe Impact.

The still photo showing May's shoulder into Evans is the result of May being 11 cm taller than Evans so unfortunately any contact was never going to end well for Evans..

The height difference and both players going for the ball mans the contact was Accidental not Careless so the charge should be dismissed. May has oft offended but he doesn't deserve to go for that.

To have any hope of having the charge thrown out we must NOT use Adrian Anderson.

It is the way

All part of the AFL concussion liability protection saga

It’s [censored] [censored]

Every player should be the same height and wear NFL costumes

Darcy Moore and Brayden Maynard not cited by ex Pies premiership MRO.

Nothing to see here.

Dropping the knees into a guys back just fine.

Pushing a guy into the dugout just fine.

Disappointing but expected. Both deserve suspension for mine.

Pretty funny - Patrick Cripps (Carlton skipper) has come out saying;

"As a young guy or a young kid coming in, you're always taught (to) bodyline the ball and when the ball's in dispute, you want to go and win the ball…

Obviously you never want to see a player get injured – obviously Frankie was courageous in what he did, you never want to see a player get injured – but I just reckon it's so tough. I don't understand what we want May to do there…

If that's a Grand Final and he hesitates, and let's say Frankie gets the ball... what do you do? I never want to see people go off in the game with with head knocks but I just think it's a really tough situation."

Even the opposition players are mind boggled about how the game should be played and likely disagree with it to some extent.

Of course, we all know why.

True. It’s another blight on the competition. Greg Swan has a lot of work to do.

Will say what’s been super refreshing, Kossie hasn’t done his once yearly late sniper bulb on anyone, which is a common once a year occurrence.

I assume he has done a lot of work to cut out the behavior because it was obvious on how important he is and the results we weren’t getting when he was suspended. (Sadly same result on the ladder, however not due to him).

Good on ya Kossie, great to see. Keep it up.

This will be an easy listen on a Monday night:

David King reckons it's May's responsibility to pull out of the contest when he thinks he'll get there second. Lovely. Imagine all the contests players would pull out of if they had to be sure they'd get there first.

Sorry, can't cop this.

Never forget . More than half Picketts infringements were nothing, let alone reportable, some as testified by his opposition. This is not a good boy competition. Kossie does not have to be a good boy, as a continuance of his participation.

The post is just about the height of ignorance and should be ignored.

How the hell did Moore escape with just a 50m penalty.

He kneed someone in the back deliberately. It's dangerous

IMO it was a cynical move by Moore to provoke an over reaction from Freo players to have the mark annulled and a get Collingwood a free. Good to see Corey Wagner was aware of the danger and got in there to calm his teammates down.

You use the words cynical attempt to reverse the mark. I think he just loves to use his knees to hurt opponents, and knew that he had nothing to fear from their tame MRO: he could have caused severe internal injuries, again, with impunity.

You ok, dear?

I find it funny that you think that he can be a dirty sniper.

When he gets suspended for his bumps, he only impacts his team. If you don’t see that, you’re the height of ignorance.

Finn Maginnes who suffered a lacerated kidney from a knock might be very interested in that ruling.

Darcy is now a recidivist in injuring players with his knees and yet escapes punishment every time.

Jack Reiwoldt, Garry Lyon and even Nathan Buckley said he should have been suspended.

Question (rhetorical)

How often are Collingwood players EVER cited let alone suspended ?

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
