Couldn't agree more. I'm predicting it un folds like this:

  1. We send JVR to Sydney cos they take our leftovers for two first rounders

  2. We trade one of the first rounders to GWS for Jesse

  3. We send Jesse to Shockers together with the other first round

  4. Shockers on trade Jesse to Meth Coke and the other first rounder

  5. Meth Coke send Harley to us.

  6. Shockers get nothing as payback for taking the Wiz.

that's a top piece of analysis. But we want Jesse too as well as Action Jackson

Good lord! They poached him after three seasons. The [censored] gall.

Pot kettle black by Freo.

Happy to constantly make numerous approaches to Jesse Hogan, Luke Jackson and Jeff Farmer over the journey but when it happens to them, they throw the toys out of the dot.

Hope they never see a premiership in their lifetime.

Simon obviously missed the interview with Andy Brayshaw a couple months ago saying he would love to have Pickett at Freo....

Seriously they are insufferable as a club. Have an inferiority complex due to their standing against big brother the Eagles.

ย

Unbelievable hypocrisy or just a slip up from Simon?

Andrew Brayshaw comments in Feb 2025 (4 months ago!!):

"I do know 'Kozzy' and we would love - if he's listening to this - we would love to have him next year," Brayshaw said.

He joked he would have to engage brother Angus, a premiership teammate of Pickett, as a middle man.

"I think Kozzy knows how good it would be over here. So if he's ever considering it we would definitely have him," he said.

God how embarrassing for them to have a headline like that after not only poaching our players but constantly doing that exact thing to our players like Kozzie. Just a dumb thing for them to come out with. Total pot calling kettle black stuff haha well done Freo way to be total hypocrites.

You can add Kozzie to their wish list.

HYPOCRITES.

I guess we started it when we poached Jeff White from them. Itโ€™s just normal every day football shenanigans and the exploitation and uncertainties of the go home factor.

yes and Langdon. Hey Freo have had so many players ripped away from them I find them hard to hate.

Waiting for the next name they'll put in their mouths:

Who do we think it'll be?

-Rivers

-McVee

-JVR

I think they should start improving at drafting local talent, not the MFCs fault that we can actually identify WA talent.

๐Ÿ’ฏ they had no issues commenting on Jackson when he left and the coach and players have absolutely commented on Pickett this year.

There was a long-drawn out media saga in 1998 where Fremantle were trying to poach one of our champions, Steven Tingay. Thankfully it didn't come to pass.

I'd be embarrassed if I was a Dockers fan. Comes across as some loser that blames the media every time they write something.

Welcome to free enterprise Mr Garlick.

Tin pot club with loser mentality.

And happy to let their players openly talk about wanting to play with Kosi!

They are living in absolute fantasy land.

A ridiculous club.

Nah, they started it when they took Jason Norrish.

Now we just need someone to cut up Simon Garlick saying "Get your mouth on our players", as per the Will Smith edit.

Good ol' simo the dymo. If he's as clever as reported, he's just playing to the peanut gallery. Some of whom are not in the Freoo echo chamber.

ย

Is there anyone close to family members from Jacko's missus side?

Are we in the game here or was this just Jacko management asking in another way for more ruck minutes?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals. ย

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturdayโ€™s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFLโ€™s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterdayโ€™s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andย  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
