The real icing would be Hogan and Bedford also both coming home.

Well no side has replicated that five minutes since, or possibly previously. It was football from the dream factory. That's why it'll be talked about for generations.

If it was that easy to do we'd be kicking 700 points a game!

I would trade Clarry for LJ - both on big money, win win for both clubs as Freo crave a big bodied midfielder.

Also means we don't lost Koz, who I'd argue is far more valuable to us than what Clarry is.

Lol I would trade Clarry for Jacko too - I tell you who won’t though: Fremantle!

My Jacko-coloured glasses off for a moment;

Would love to see some stats on Jackson’s tenure at Freo - with and without Darcy. I feel people still talk about him in terms of ‘potential’ or they focus on small periods of a game when he looks great. For the money he wants I worry he doesn’t impact games for long enough and may never.

Freo were desperate to copy cat us they took Jacko to copy our dual ruck set up. They also like to play a slow grindy contested game style. Unfortunately that time has past and they'll probably go through a period of instability in the short to long term.

We all know the talent. Not really fussed about his form at Freo, we would get the best out of him.

Not sure about that.

Sounds like when you’re in your 20s, and decide to go around to an old GFs place. Then thinking that it’s a good idea to hang around with three of them.

It’s never a good idea.

Anyone who questions bringing Jackson home needs to rewatch the 3rd Quarter 25.9.21

You should all watch this again REGARDLESS of what you think just a wonderful finish to a quarter. The start not so good but sublime after the Bont's goal..

He's sure dominated in 2 of the 3 games he's played against us.

He also made the AA squad in 2023 which is an A grade season in my book.

This quote made me laugh.

Come on guys, you know he would only come back if he could get to one of the "Big Clubs".

along with harley reid and jamara ugle-hagan, he'll go to geelong for that surf coast lifestyle (plus his other half is from there)

To be fair, nobody on earth has replicated that five minute period.

Pivotal X high stakes X absolute = eternal

In a dream world Jackson becomes Blicavs with an extra 10cm. The ultimate tall utility.

And he does so after going flat at Freo and being traded back to Melbourne for peanuts and on a modest contract.

Arousal levels never quiet reached those heights again.

“Rampaging” Roy Slaven often spoke of the importance of arousal levels peaking at the right moments…

I mean why would he want to go to Freo anyway.

No team has replicated that since. Probably ever.

According to Hoyne of C.D. they are rated the worst post clearance contested possession team in the comp.

Let's hope they don't change their style. Working a treat.

blicavs - 198cm

dogga - 199cm

I reckon he is more than 199cm these days

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
