Looks like Chandler might be doing some more midfield/high half forward this season perhaps replacing Nibbler’s role.

Perfect replacement for Nibbs. Team first, always. Leadership. Super important role for us next year.

Does he have the tank? Nibs would run all day. I agree with you, but worried he might blow up

Last day of annual leave so made it down for the entire session. Just a couple of impressions

Clarry - Engaged and connected. Very playful with teammates, knocking ball out of Roo's hands & laughing, Volunteered to act as key forward, chat and a hug with Goody. Any thought of him not wanting to be here was put to rest in my mind.

Roo - Looked a class above in contested situations. Great use of body. Good hands and found space.

AMW - Clean skills and a touch of class. In 1:1 drill with Chin, beat him 5 times in a row. Disposal good all session.

Jeffo - Looked smooth. Led well, made good position and was dangerous in contested situations. Also a couple of great shots at goal including one in general play from about 60 meters out. On todays session I would have Roo, Disco & Jeffo as my key three forwards. Petty also had great body positioning playing in defence (as previously mentioned). He came to the fore in 1:1 contents.

Kentfield - Was very impressed with his general play, leading and kicking. Looks a great size and has talent. Struggled a bit when the running started. A good prospect.

Verrall - More skilled than I had previously thought. Showed some ability forward and as a link in play.

Bowey - Lethal by foot, kicking darts.

Great sage nailed another of Nibblers potential replacements in AMW. I also think McKee getting more involved playing Nibbla’s role could be good for us.

Getting very excited after just a couple of digital Demonland training sessions. Salivating for the Beatles reunion as the two stars with the rogue off-season drama’s rejoin a rejuvenated Demons unit.

Mind you, you’d think Roo must be enjoying being a forward while May and Lever are still on holidays. Big things from our blone forward, with Harrison enjoying an injury free preseason.

Lots to like, keep up the reports, really enjoy the banter.

Go Demons!

Andy Moniz-Wakefield is not getting a gig with the MCC Wind Ensemble anytime soon (Koltyn showed promise though).

But come Week One of pre-season, that’s the third positive review l’ve read of AMW on the track this week. That block of games he played after his debut has given him self-belief and confidence.

If Trent and Judd are destined upfield, there’s a slot for the taking at half-back for a talented young bloke with his credentials.

Not too many do, right? Aerobically I think he’s ok & should get better. Like, if he was told to get fitter to play Nibblers role, then Chin’s the kind of guy that would absolutely throw the kitchen sink at it. Great clubman Chin & underrated player.

Sharp aerobically is superior to ANB… so he would be the ideal candidate

I suppose that's far, but if you compare him to someone like Trac who spent his holiday's training. They're miles apart in professionalism.

It’s only my opinion, so anyone agree or disagree,  but I think player management in certain roles, ie up forward small bloke, assistance for Max in the ruck,  resting of players in certain games against certain teams over the whole length of the season. With the ultimate aim of winning as many games as needed for top 4 or better top 2.  Why aim low ?
and being as rested and uninjured as possible, Come September.

i hated our finish in the second half of last season, but looking forward to next year and the few new recruits,  just can’t help myself,  demon tragic

My apologies, didn't realise I had a separate rule just to myself on how to reply to posters.

I hadn't followed his post MFC career closely, so did some catch up.

Heard some good reports

Rather than what seemed to me a run of the mill pre judgement that is prevalent on here.

I thought it is another shrewd recruitment along with Bassett and  Chunk.

I actually absorb as much news about my club as I can, this means if I talk to anyone from the club, I come from an informed position.

Why I enjoyed WCW reports, put a human face on the players, good to see the reports are still happening, despite the efforts of the 'Boys Club' on here

You do have the choice of putting me on ignore like I have done upon returning to a select few posters.

I have an opinion, which is neither right or wrong but it is MY opinion.

You completely missed the point i was making.

Great question, past couple years Chin comes out super strong then 4-6 weeks in picks up a knee knock or something and tapers the rest of the year.

Clarry had only 1 Month of training last year

He now has the opportunity to have a 4 MONTH preseason (especially after returning a week and a half early)

Could make a huge difference!

Not having hand, rib, knee and other issues will help

It’s so very predictable…preseason finally starts & we’re all (mostly) excited to read about the players ..coaches …anything really as it is a time for optimism after a couple of dismal years. It’s fantastic that we have posters who can get to training and give us their insights and opinions. But once again ..anyone who is different or purports to have some relationship with staff or players …out come the knives. I miss WCW & I enjoy Saty ..in fact I read every poster who has been to training & takes the time to post. I have never read a post where two people who have actually attended training criticise each other ?

Sharp has been brought in to play the wing, releasing Windsor to the midfield.

Thanks for all the comprehensive reports (and photos), so much to be excited about.
Optimism hitting new heights, especially with the changes to the coaching panel

The Kolt getting around the Champ showing the love.

Kolt is emerging as a young leader and/or spiritual leader in my view. Once he finds himself at AFL level that will only accelerate his influence on the group. Seems to have a love for the players and the club which will rub off on others
