we're done what we had to do

hopefully the blues do us a favour this evening.

Underwood with a second to go “time will beat them”’with dees 47 points ahead

Just clarifying in my own head - at this moment we are in the 8 and we are waiting on the result of Essendon v Carlton.

So... uh... C'arn ya bluebaggers! *

*Offer expires 9.30pm Nov 2, 2024

Dees too good.💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️ Always sweet to best the Pies in any game !!!

Lizzie Mc is a star ️ should win the B&F , and she’s only 22

Captain Kate ️ amazing again (if she played versus hawks, Dees would’ve won!!)

even if Bombers get in, the team have regained their mojo and got opportunities and games into younger players !!!
We get Harris and Aimee Mackin plus top 10 draft pick in for 2025

And Grace Beasley at some stage. Thought she looked very impressive in the games she played.

If we do miss out it's a shame because  we are playing great footy & I feel we'd be more if a threat than essendon.

Just a shame we had those losses earlier on.

At least we gave Collingwood the wooden spoon

If it doesn't pan out for us tonight it's still been a very positive season.

We've unearthed some future champions.

Things are looking good.

...and if Lize isn't the AA wing then something is wrong.

How good are hore and hanks are such guns.

Mcnamara go alright too.

Pisano looks a quality player, and like those noted above natural footballer.

AFLW Dees often have been overlooked in AA team selection.  Surely they cannot overlook our Lizzie Mc.  She’s been 5 stars ️all year.

I believe underwood has a list of football commentating cliches that she inserts every game....regardless of the situation. Ticks them off as she goes along and inserts them whenever, regardless whether they are  appropriate.

Macca’s 32 touches in a 80 min game is ridiculous

equal to 48 in a 120 min game

Like a bingo card

Blues - 8

bombers - 🍩

Still a chance

9 points at HT

but not looking good

Demons are better than half the teams in the 8 just got a bad fixture

Bombers not losing this.

early season injuries stuffed us

Lots of positives though. Some very promising youngsters got plenty of game time. With a full compliment next year we’re well placed to challenge.

go dees

A shame we are having to rely on carlton.

That thrashing against essendon has really hurt us and that close loss to freo

Yes the Freo game should have been a win,

Yes, lots a good tall talent has stepped up this year.  We;ll be better going forward and with a slight better fixture finishing 9 maybe?

Hawks have played 8 teams out of finals from 11 games

Demons have played finals 7 teams

AFL should have gone with 14 teams and 14 rounds until that was stable then increased teams and rounds together

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
