Worth a punt?

Does battle hard and can give us some depth back/forward if we suffer from injuries

Thought he was ok in the cameos last season which is why he was picked ahead of Ash Johnson

Injury-hit big man Nathan Kreuger, former Saint Jack Bytel among three Collingwood Magpies delisted (afl.com.au)

Not sure about picking up a player who is always injured as a depth replacement for injuries.

He has definitely shown talent but can't stay on the park.

Rookie list option at the most.

It's a free hit

I would consider Membrey or Kruger for the reasons above (all things considered like age, injury history) - better than backup - could make an impact at crucial times if not season regulars. Kruger is a beast.

Our back depth is an interesting one given 2 of them are playing as forwards.

Think we're 1 big fella short but not sure if this is the answer.

Would prefer to keep Hore as cover for Lever and Tommo cover for T Mac

If Tommo leaves I agree we are one tall back short

Well no brainer we go after him now that Tomlinson is goooooooooooooooone

if we're going for a delisted tall, u want reliability. so membrey is front of the queue. down back id look at ethan phillips or harry arnold but probably unnecessary as im expecting petty goes back next year

Pies need his type more than we do and delisted him.

Constantly injured and 15 games in 6 years is not a good recommendation.

Petty doesn’t go back if May, Lever and Tom are playing. One more season will change that though.

15 games in 6 years, but of course one of those would include torching us.

Ordinary player, a no from me.

We should get him, just to watch him kick 8 in the intra-club

Would be a good SANFL player but thats about it.

He clearly has talent but 15 games since the start of 2021 has red flag written all over it.

David King last night reeled off half a dozen players, either delisted by their clubs or told to explore their options, who were taken late in the draft by another club.

He included Billings.

Not one success story.

I just can't see Billings, McAdam or Fullarton getting a regular gig.

And then we have Laurie, Adams, Sestan, Verrall, Kentfield and now Tom Campbell.

Spargo has a lot of ground to make up. Hore is only ever going to be back-up.

That's close to 25% of our list.

I don't want Freddy Kruegar. Nor do I want Membrey.

Far too injury prone for my liking.

Would rather the Demons take a chance on Denver Grainger-Barras from Hawthorn.

He was pick #6 in the 2020 AFL National Draft and still has a lot of talent and potential. Would rather we snap him away from Carlton too!

I don’t rate him but he did get a hold of May and Co this year with 3 snags and 7 marks.

Wouldn’t be a better option than Turner in terms of best 23, but you can never have enough depth.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
